Chapter 11 "The Long Flight"

*A few days pass. Kenzie & Nat are at Nat's apartment. Kenzie is packing her & Nat's bags for their trip to L.A, while Nat is still asleep.*

*Kenzie's P.O.V*

I can't believe I got a record deal! This is so surreal. Our flight leaves in a couple hours & Nat still isn't up yet. I walked into Nat's bedroom, sleeping peacefully, not wearing a shirt as usual. He was so adorable! I walked toward his bed & shook him.

"Nat, time to wake up." I said.

Nat yawned & pulled the covers over his head. "Just five more minutes, please?"

"Nat, our flight leaves in two hours," I said. "You've slept in long enough, cm'on sweetie."

"Ugh," Nat sighed. "Okay."

*Nat & Kenzie walk into the kitchen. Kenzie makes Nat breakfast & then they both get ready & head to the airport.*

"Do you have everything?" I asked.

"Yeah." said Nat.

"Alright." I said.

*On the plane.*

"We made it just in time!" said Nat.

"Yup!" I said.

"Are you excited?" asked Nat.

"Yeah!" I said. "I can't believe this is happening! I've never done anything like this before,"

"Me either," Nat yawned, resting his head on my shoulder.

"Aww! Are you gonna take a little nap?" I asked while I stroked his hair.

"Uh-huh," whispered Nat.

"Okay." I said as I kissed his forehead.

I looked through the window, watching the clouds go by. I turned on my i-pod & put the volume on low so then I wouldn't wake Nat up. I listened to Nat's newest songs. "Call You", "Over My Mind", "Last Station", "Winter Baby, "Shadow's Deep", & some songs from Black Sheep. I had all of the songs on shuffle. I could feel Nat breathing heavily on my neck. I turned my head. He was still sleeping.

*After the flight*

*Nat's P.O.V*

"Nat, we're here." said Kenzie.

"Yay!" I said rubbing my eyes.

"Did you have a nice nap?" asked Kenzie.

"Yeah," I sad.

"That's good." said Kenzie.

"What time are we meeting up with Mr. Smith?" I asked.

"It's not until tomorrow," said Kenzie. "Maybe we could walk around L.A for a while,"

"Okay!" I said. "Let's stop by my parent's house first, I want you to meet them."

"Okay, cool!" said Kenzie.

Kenzie & I grabbed our bags & waited outside for my limo. Once the limo arrived, we got inside & left for my parent's house.

*At the Wolff's house*

"Mom? Dad? Alex? I'm home," I said.

My Mom walked in & hugged me. She was so glad that I was finally home. "Oh Nat, I've missed you so much! How was your trip?" asked Polly.

"I've missed you too, Mom." I said. "Mom, this is Kenzie, my new girlfriend, she'll be staying with us for a few days."

"Hi, it's so nice to meet you! Nat has told me a lot about you," said Polly.

"Aww! It's so nice to meet you too," said Kenzie.

"Kenzie just got a record deal," I said. "That's why she's staying with us."

"Cool! We'll have another girl in the house!" said Polly.

"Where is Dad & Alex?" I asked.

"Your Dad is at band practice & Alex is in his room," said Polly. "Alex really missed you while you were gone,"

"I missed him too," I said. "Cm'on Kenzie, let's go upstairs,"

"Okay," said Kenzie. "It's so nice meeting you, Polly!" said Kenzie. "Thanks for letting me stay,"

"No problem!" said Polly.

*Kenzie & Nat go upstairs. Nat heard a noise coming from Alex's room. It sounded like a guitar strumming. Nat knocked on the door.*

"Alex?" I asked.

Alex heard My voice. I heard him getting up from his bed & opening the door. "You're back!" said Alex as he hugged me. "I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too, Alex!" I said. I looked at Kenzie. "Alex, do you remember Kenzie?" I asked.

"Of course I do! How have you been Kenzie?" asked Alex.

"I'm great!" said Kenzie.

"She's going to be staying with us for a few days," I said.

"I know, I heard about the whole thing!" said Alex. "That's awesome that she got a record deal!"

Kenzie smiled. "Thanks Alex," said Kenzie.

"Were you writing a new song?" I asked.

"Yeah," said Alex. "It's not finished yet. I'll show you when I'm done,"

"Cool," I said. "Well, Kenzie & I are going out in a few minutes, so I'll talk to you later."

"Okay," said Alex.

I took Kenzie to my bedroom. My room looked just the same as it was when I left to help out with the singing camp. The big screen t.v wasn't covered in dust, my own bathroom didn't have any dirty towels laying on the ground. This is perfect! I dropped Kenzie & I's bags & Kenzie sat on my bed.

"Here we are!" I said.

"Nice room!" said Kenzie.

"Thanks, it's got everything we need in here," I said.

"Your parents don't mind if we share a room together?" asked Kenzie.

"Nope," I said. "I'm 19 now, they don't think that we would do anything suspicious,"

"Cool," said Kenzie.

I walked over toward her, running my fingers through her light blonde hair. She got up & kissed my chin. I kissed her cheek, but then, within seconds, we stopped.

"Why did you stop?" I asked.

"Are we still going to walk around LA?" asked Kenzie.

"Oh, yeah! Of course," I said. "Let's go!"

*Kenzie & Nat walk around LA for a few hours. They saw the Hollywood sign, went out to dinner, & eventually went back to the Wolff's house.*
