"Is she cute?"

Lauren groaned for what felt like the thousandth time that day and buried her head in a throw pillow, muffling her sound of annoyance. She was really questioning why she'd invited Dinah over to her house and then proceeded to tell her about Camila.

Dinah cackled at her friend's annoyance. Lauren had always been so easy to annoy and fluster, it was extremely entertaining. "I'm taking that groan as a yes," she laughed. When Lauren raised her head up from the pillow and glared at her, Dinah knew she was right. "I knew it! You're so easy to read, Lauser."

"Shut up!" Lauren whined, ready to bury her head in the pillow again. "I knew I shouldn't have told you about Camila." She was blushing profusely at Dinah's teasing, she knew the Polynesian only meant well so she wasn't mad, just bashful.

Dinah's laughter ceased and she quirked an eyebrow at the older girl, "Girl, what are you talking about?" She wondered rhetorically, "The second I showed up you were dying to tell me all about this chick that has you smitten."

The truth behind Dinah's words was enough to make Lauren glare even more at her. It lost the majority of its effect however when Lauren's ears went a very similar red to the shade that was currently painting her cheeks. "I fucking hate you," Lauren said slowly, putting emphasis on each word even though both her and Dinah knew she didn't mean them at all.

"You don't hate Camila though" Dinah grinned cheekily, her brown orbs glimmering with amusement. She chuckled when Lauren covered her face again with the throw pillow. "I'm joking, Laur." Dinah promised, her voice sincere, "Tell me about this girl, I wanna make sure she's good enough for my best friend."

Lauren smiled at Dinah's words, the taller girl has always been so sweet and caring, it was one of the many things Lauren loves about her; Dinah was an incredibly selfless soul and always made sure her friends and family knew she cared about them. "We've only been talking for a couple of days but she seems amazing, Dinah, she's fascinating." Lauren began truthfully, her smile widening at the mere mention of Camila, she was seriously crushing on the Cuban-Mexican.

"How did you meet her again?" Dinah asked curiously, Lauren had told her it earlier in the week but she couldn't remember now. All she could recall was that it involved the pet store that Lauren works at.

"Some lady came into the store, she told me that someone was smoking outside." Lauren started, Dinah nodded along to show that she was listening, "When I checked it was a short brunette, I confronted her and then she left. A couple days later I ran into her when I was walking home and I learned that she's called Camila." The entire time Lauren was explaining the story to Dinah a smile was planted on her lips, she could envision it all in her head and the thought kept her smiling.

Dinah easily noticed the smile on her best friend's face, she hadn't seen a smile on Lauren's face in months; not since Lauren had been dating Keana. It was nice to see her best friend so happy, her smile seemed permanent as long as Camila was being mentioned or was on her mind. Dinah really had to meet this girl soon, if someone can make Lauren that happy then she needs to meet them.

"So, she smokes," Dinah began, Lauren nodding her head in confirmation, "Although that isn't particularly healthy, does she at least look hot while she smokes?" It was a serious question, if the girl is gonna ruin her lungs, she'd better look good doing it. Only the best for her Lauser.

Lauren had to bite her tongue to stop herself from groaning, again. "Yeah," she admits, originally she was going to deny it but really, what was the use when Camila does look hot when she has a cigarette perched between her full, pink lips? "She looks beyond hot when she smokes, fuck, Dinah, I think you'd go gay for her if you saw her smoking."
