He was once my friend
He looked at me and smiled
Then he left
Taking everything with him
My heart is gone
And he is not here to save me
As I fall, I share our memories
The children play
In the yard
I stay seated in front
Staring at the place he once stood in
His things are someplace else
They came to take them
They never let me repent
Or cry
All they did was sighing
My tears where shut down by pills
My children
Never knew
They continued to play
Oblivious to my pain
In this world I was left alone
He left me
They kept me locked away
I was alone
To raise the kids
But I know one day
We will meet again
In the kingdom above
He waits for me
Now I must complete my duty
And help the kids see
That one day I too will leave
And go to meet him again
