She grew alone

She sacrificed alone

No parents knew my turmoil

No sibling saw my agony

She hides perfectly

Growing inside

Trying to take over

What the girl wanted to hide

Her secrets were kept unlocked

No one could carry her box

She was forced to survive

Trying to leave

And being deceived

She stayed for her family

Yet they never see

She needed to be

Free

Her eyes made rivers

Yet nobody told her

Her rain made rainbows

She felt it would be better

If she could be tethered

To the ground

Or be brought to the pound

Everything would be sound

She was a broken plate

Making the earth shake

Her agony made others cry

She felt

She was not needed

She suffered to hide the emotion

Her dam broke

She corked

And soon

She was born anew

Named a characteristic

And dyed in a new hue
