You and Damon had been together for a very long time and you had been happy with him, everyone around you could see how much love you felt for him. You were a vampire also so it makes things a lot easier and you also have forever to spend with him.
You always thought about the future with Damon but you never really thought about the idea of marriage. You also didn't really think that it was a Damon thing to do. He's always laughing and joking and you didn't really think he wanted to get married. It had always been your dream to get married but, when you found out you were a vampire you thought you would never achieve that dream.
It was the anniversary of you two being together for 150 years and you didn't really think it was a long but in reality It was a very long time.
Damon had been keeping something from you for the whole of your anniversary week and you were beginning to get worried about it.
You woke up to the sound of your alarm going. You were pretty sure that you didn't set an alarm, you figured Damon had set one for you. You rubbed your eyes, when you opened them the sight was astonishing. Damon had written a note for you but he had also left a trail of rose petals leading some where. The note said
"Good morning Princess, I hope you had the best sleep in the world, I need you to get dressed and go down stairs where someone is waiting for you. Happy 150 anniversary baby!"
You smiled while reading. You got dressed into a pair of ripped black jeans and a white tank top. You pulled on your shoes and walked downstairs where Stefan was waiting with a piece of toast.
" Good morning Y/N!"
"Good morning Stefan! Thanks for the breakfast!"
"I kind of had to but never mind, damon has asked me to tell you to go to the first place you guys met and kissed , have fun!"
"Thank you Stefan!"
You thought about the place where you and Damon met and kissed. It was down by the river. You made your way out of the door and down to the river. YOu passed many signs that damon had put out, he had also tapped many photos of you and Damon onto them to remind you of the memories you have created.
You looked around and there was fairy lights tangled around the trees. There was also a picinic blanket layed out perfectly on the floor with all your favourite snacks. You felt a pair of arms wrap around you and you automatically knew it was Damon.
"Damon this looks incredible you really didn't have to do this!"
"Yes I did, we have been together for 150 years and that's why I wanted to do this!"
"Aw your so sweet Damon, what did I ever do to deserve you!"
Damon intertwined your fingers together and sat down on the soft picnic blanket. You both started to dig in to the delicious food that d=Damon had prepared for your evening.
After you and Damon had finished eating the delicious food you went for a walk around the river. Damon stopped a little distance from you.
"y/n I have known you for a very long time and it has been the best life with you and I want this to last forever, you mean so much to me and I love you more and more each day. You have helped me through every tough stage pf my and your the reason I live. You make my world brighter. You always see the good in me even when I don't see the good in myself. I love you so much and even words can't describe the feelings I have for you. I want to spend the rest of supernatural life with you so Y/n will you do me the honour of becoming my wife!"
Damon had gotten down on one knee and had pulled out the most beautiful ring.

Your hands covered your mouth.
"Yes Damon, of course I will marry you!"
Your eyes filled up with tears. Damon got up of the ground and pulled you into his arms.
"I love you future Mrs Salvatore!"
"I love you too Mr Salvatore!"
You and both skipped off to tell everyone about your news. Finally you were engaged to the person you wanted to spend the rest of your life with.
