Chapter 7

I entered my own home scared as hell to find Meredith standing in the kitchen alone. This was my perfect opportunity.

"Meredith I have been keeping something from you for the past 3 months and I need to tell and I need you to accept it as my sister" Meredith had a confused look on her face but she continued to engage in the conversation.

"Okay care to tell me what you have been keeping me?"

" I have been in a serious commited relationship. We are in love and he really does love me. And I really love him so I really need you not to get mad about who he is and just be happy for me"

Meredith's face looked shocked, but then again how could it not be. Mark and I gave her no reason to suspect anything was going on.

" who is it?" She said as I could tell she was trying to keep her calm.

"It's Mark"

"Mark as in mark sloan?" Her face was now stunned with a dash of concern.

"Yes and please mer I need you to be okay with this"

" and why are you not telling me this together what is he to much of a coward"

" actually he is kinda getting cleaned up from when derek found out"

"oh... yeah I cant really imagine that would have gone well"

" I wanna talk to you the both of you together cause if he hurts you I swear will kill him" I think in that moment I did the last thing she was expecting. I hugged her.

" thank you"

"For what" she asked still a little caught off guard.

" for waiting to see if he actually hurts me before you kill him unlike your boyfriend"

"Speaking of her boyfriend"Derek says as he entered the house.

" i should go" I said as I turned around and started to open the door. Before I left I changed my direction back to facing them.

" we have been happy for a long time we just didnt want to hide it anymore and weather u are okay with this or not you cant control our lives"

I turned around and left my sure that their next conversation would be about me and my relationship, but I didn't mind.

Mark's POV:

Callie and I were talking and having the pizza after it actually did come when Lexie walked back into my home.

"Hey how did everything go with Meredith?"

"Well, she took it better than Derek did" She said causing me to smirk.

"Hey can I stay here tonight?"

"Of course you can" I wanted her to know that she was always welcome here.

"Thanks. It's just I'm pretty sure Derek will be there pretty late tonight and I just don't really want to be around him right now." She gave me a light kiss on the lips before grabbing a slice of pizza.

"I hate to interrupt your plans but, even though I know we don't care what they think I don't think that having a 'sleepover' will help matters much"

"You know she is probably right" I said no matter how much I wanted me and Lexie to have the whole night together.

"Alright. I call April see if I could stay at her place."

"No need. You can stay at my place."

"Really?"

"Ya"

"Thank you so much"

"Hey look at my girls getting along" I said. We all let out a laugh. I gave Callie a hug and I kissed Lex goodnight before they went back to Callie's house.

Lexie's POV:

It was the next morning (Saterday) and Callie just dropped me at my house. We had so much fun last night and it felt amazing to open up to someone about Mark and I.

I started walking up the stairs to my room when I heard a voice coming from the down stairs couch.

"You didn't come home last night" Meredith said while not looking away from the tv.

"Ya I uh slept at Callie's last night, I just didn't want to be here last night with everything that was going on"

"lex you don't have to lie anymore you can say you stayed at marks" she said finally looking at me.

"for your information i did not stay at marks nor have i ever last night was our first time together and the first thing i wanted to do was to tell you my older sister but i couldn't"

All Meredith did was let out a sigh. I started to turn and walk away when her words stopped me.

"well you can talk to me now    I mean opposed to public opinion me and Derek don't share a brain"

" well maybe we can talk later I kinda had a big 24 hours"

" ya of course "

"I am going to take a nap"

" okay I am just going to um run an errand. I'll be back later"
