Chapter 16
“Sorry.”
The word reverberated with its symphonic vibration from Lacey’s dried lips. Such lightning struck him, Sebastian’s knees waved in mortification. He pursed his lips as if his heart dictated him to believe Lacey or not. However, the red curls secured him sincerity.
He sighed. “Sorry,” Lacey repeated as he held Sebastian’s rough palms. “You changed.”
Sebastian released his grin. The stretched dried curve beamed from the dark alley beside the Da Vinci Café. Lacey ardently caressed it with his thumb and as if a sensory reaction opted Sebastian to pull off a wider smile from his face.
“My life did but I didn’t,” Sebastian replied and laid his palm over Lacey’s. “This time, I’ll give it all to you. I entrust myself to you because I love you.”
Lacey smiled and hugged him. He flushed as his tears cooled his heating cheeks down. He said, “Well I expected more than that.”
Lacey chuckled. “Expectations take you down but there’s nothing wrong with wanting something unless you take it forcibly.”
Sebastian covered his echoing laughter and asked, “Shall I ask it from you?”
Lacey pulled him and gently dipped his lips to Sebastian’s lower lip. He riveted away and the air sifted into their mouths. “More?”
Sebastian chuckled and pinched Lacey’s chiseled cheeks. “That’s my line!” he cajoled.
Lacey giggled and kissed him hard.
The wind howled through the emptiness of New York’s street. Sebastian opened his eyes as Lacey continued to explore with his lips. A bright smile jaunted from his face as the moon looked larger from his position. The stars danced soul in the purple night sky. The air froze his hands but they melted as Lacey’s palms caressed it ardently.
Lacey’s lips plummeted into him until he took it away and presented him his sophisticated curve. Lacey pinched Sebastian’s flushing cheeks and touched it.
“I’m out of words,” he admitted and kissed Sebastian’s forehead. “But I am never out of love.”
Sebastian’s butterflies rummaged him for words but he found his entire body being mortified by the monster he had before. His frown gave in and grumbled.
“Why?” Lacey sadly inquired.
“Nothing. I’m just scared.”
“From?”
“You,” Sebastian confessed. “I-I’m sorry… I-I did not mean to… I-It’s hard! I-I cannot decide. You a-are making things difficult. T-This choice…”
“You don’t have one. I’m going to take care of you. That’s a command,” Lacey dominatingly ordered. “Now that you found me, I have no use of hiding. I am all yours and you’ll be all mine. Sebastian, I gave you pain. It is also my responsibility to take that away. Let me.” Lacey knelt with his right leg and held Sebastian’s hand. “I will even you won’t.”
Sebastian sighed and wrapped his arms around Lacey. His red curls fluttered with the air as Sebastian ran his fingers through it. “I love you. I just love you.”
