I've walked,
I've walked,
And I've walked,
Past the leaning fence,
With cement for feet,
Yet,
Lately,
I have not seen
The Old Lady
With the umbrella pass by,
Nor,
Have I seen
The Old Man
Who would walk beside
The Old Lady
No,
I have not seen them,
Mayhap,
Time has suddenly caught up with me,
For you see,
The leaning fence is still there,
But
The Old Lady,
And
Old Man,
Are no longer here.
