Ari's POV-

"Let me help you pack, Annie, you can get it done faster," I say. Annie nods and I follow her to the room where what little things we had brought with us from the mortal world were stored.

When we reach our room, Annie turns to me and says, "How about we make a system of sorts? I could give you what I need to pack and you can put it in my bag."

"Great idea!" I say. I pick up her backpack. I space out a tad, lost in my thoughts, when suddenly, there is a t-shirt hitting me in the head and Annie is giggling.

"Hey!" I say, joining her giggles and removing the t-shirt from my head. I put the shirt in her bag.

"You spaced out, what else was I supposed to do?" Annie responds, still laughing.

"How about maybe calling my name?" I say sarcastically while putting away another shirt she threw at me.

"Nah, it is much more entertaining to throw things at you," she laughs, tossing me a pair of pants.

"Ha, ha, you're so funny," I say, the joking sarcasm not leaving my voice, while putting the pants in her bag.

"I know," she says with another chuckle. "By the way, have you thought about who you're going to be staying here with? Aaron," Annie says, emphasizing Aaron's name.

"Shut up!" I say, unable to help the chuckle and the smile that escape my lips. "I will never have a chance with him," I say, putting another pair of pants in her bag.

"Oh, on the contrary! You totally have a chance!" Annie says, excitedly.

"If you say so," I say. Just then, we hear a knock at our door. "I'll get it, you keep packing," I tell Annie, turning towards the door. I open the door, and, to my surprise, Aaron is standing there.

"Y . . . you girls just about ready?" he asks, a beautiful smile spread across his face.

"Yeah, I believe so," I say, turning to Annie for confirmation.

"Yup, all done!" Annie says, slinging her backpack over her shoulder.

"Cool, well, the Queen said to come when you're ready, so I guess that's now," Aaron says. He motions with his arm for Annie and I to walk out of the door. "Ladies first."

"Such a gentleman, thank you," I say with with a chuckle.

Annie and I walk out of our room, and Aaron closes the door behind us. We reach the queen in no time. Unsurprisingly, Damien is already waiting.

"Are you two ready?" Queen Aria asks, referring to Damien and Annie.

"Yes, ma'am," Annie and Damien say in unison.

"Alright, then let's be on our way," Queen Aria says. Annie turns to me and embraces me in a hug.

"You two be careful, now, okay?" I tell Annie as she pulls away.

"We will. Promise," she says as she joins hands with Damien and Queen Aria.

I sign 'I love you' in sign language as they fade away with a flash of light.
