Annie's POV-
"Damien!" I yell as Aralynn pulls him back.
She grins at me before lifting Damien right off his feet. I run after her as she sprints away. Aralynn is so quick. How? She climbs up the ladder to the Zodiac and I follow her. "Aralynn! I have the potion!" I yell, trying to follow her.
I climb up the ladder and see her disappear down in the cabin. I sprint down the stairs and see her enter her old room. "Aralynn!" I call.
I burst through the door and see her holding Damien with a knife at his throat. "Aralynn," I say quietly. "Please let him go. I have the spell. Potion. Whatever it is."
I take it out of my pocket and the old paper glows purple. I open it up and out comes a vial full of purple liquid. "It's both," she said. "The spell will help with the . . . pain and the potion is the thing I need most."
"What will it do?" I ask.
"Just give me the potion and I'll give you Damien," she snaps.
"No! Learn-"
Damien jerks back in surprise. He gurgles and blood drips through Aralynn's hand. "Aralynn!" I yell.
"Oops," she says with a small smile. "I guess I am . . . too strong."
"How?"
"I have other powers, you know," she says. "I also have telekinesis, elementalist, time manipulation, and x-ray vision and super strength."
I stare at her and it hits me. "Michael did this to you?" I whisper.
"Yes," she snarls, her eyes watering. "He tortured me. He gave me powers. I need her out of me."
"Who?" I ask quickly, noticing that Damien was white as a ghost.
"My sister. Our sister, Abigail. She is in me, like I was in Lightning. You know how she got her powers, right? Yeah she was struck by lightning but she almost died there so I was put in her to keep her alive."
I stare at her in shock. "Is that who Jessica was talking about?" I ask.
"Most likely," Aralynn replies. "Now, give me the potion!"
I throw the potion to her and she catches it with her left hand. "Give me Damien," I say.
She lets him go and he stumbles toward me. I catch him as he falls. "Hi Annie," he whispers, blood spurting from the cut on his throat. It wasn't big but it was kind of deep. Deep enough to kill.
"Stay with me, Damien," I say, tears coming to my eyes as Aralynn drinks the potion, quietly muttering the spell.
The ship shakes and a light blinds me. I stumble but don't fall because I'm holding Damien. The light fades away and there is another girl on the floor. Her eyes are closed but her blonde hair and blue eyes shakes me out of my stillness. "Light?" I whisper.
"It's not Light," Aralynn says. I look at her and her face is contorted in pain. "That's Abigail."
"Annie? Damien?" Light--Abigail-- says.
Her eyes open, looking over at Damien and me. "What did you do?" she asks Aralynn.
"I just cut his throat," Aralynn says. "No biggie."
"No biggie?" I yell. "Heal him! You have elementalist powers! You can heal!"
"Actually, I can't. I lost half of my powers. I still have telekinesis, x-ray, and super strength," she says, grinning.
"I have it," Abigail says quickly. She tries to stand up but falls back down.
I lay Damien down and drag him slowly toward Abigail. I finally reach him as Aralynn grabs my hair. "What do you want?" I snarl at her.
