The Pharaoh and His Slave

Chapter 2

Atem's POV

I have been ruling Egypt for a few years after the throne was passed from my father to me. I have tried to rule with an iron fist and also heart. I care for my people and only want what's best for them. I have been looking for another servant to go with the one I already have. I haven't had any luck finding a boy until today. The second I saw him I knew I had to have him. His pale creamy skin was a rarity in Egypt. His hair strikingly similar to mine. When I finally saw his breathtaking eye, I was taken away by the sparkling amethyst. He is perfect.

I am sitting in my throne awaiting Yugi's return as I sent him with Joey to get cleaned up. He looked well kept, but being with the guards in the manner he was presented before me may get you somewhat dirty. He also need to be clothed in proper attire. "My Pharaoh," says Isis as she approaches. "Yes Isis," I say. "The boy I recognize him," she says. "Oh really where have you seen him," I ask. "His grandfather owns a small game shop in the market. He's sold me some games for the palace. Their most popular game is duel monsters and Yugi is one of the best," she says.

I nod. "Will you please tell his grandfather that he is safe here in the palace. I want him to know his family is safe," I say. "Yes Pharaoh," she says and leaves. Mana comes skipping into the throne room. "Shouldn't you be at your lessons," I say. She giggles. "I'm practicing magic by hiding from Mahad. I also heard you finally picked a boy. When can I meet him," she asks. "Soon Mana. Now stop hiding from Mahad and get back to your lessons alright. You're going to take your place by Mahad's side eventually and I want you ready," I say. "Oh alright. You are right. Can I show you what I've been practicing though," she says and jumps up and down excitedly. I nod. "I guess a small demonstration won't hurt," I say.

"Alright I just need a glass of water," she says and looks around and plucks one off a tray and sets it on the ground. She says a spell and the water turns to wine. She squeals excitedly. "I did it," she says. I pick it up and take a sip. "Very good Mana. This is some fine wine," I say. "Oh there you are Mana. You're not bothering the Pharaoh are you Mana," says Mahad coming in from a side door. "She was merely giving a demonstration of her skills. She created some fine wine actually," I say and take another drink. "Oh well good Mana," she nods and giggles. I hear another door open and Yugi is dressed in a very revealing outfit and I had to fight to contain myself. I can tell he's a bit uncomfortable, but he'll be ok. I smile at him as he walks in with Joey.

"Pharaoh," says Joey and he looks like he wants to say something. I nod at him to speak and he pulls me aside and whispers. "He hasn't been touched yet Pharaoh," says Joey. I gasp. "Do you mean," I say and the boy almost looks fearful like I'd be displeased at what I'm saying and I know he can't hear us. "Yes, he's a virgin," says Joey. "The little one has no need to fear. This is a great thing. It's hard to find a boy so pure and full of light now a days. I am very fortunate to have found him as I did and am grateful," I say. He loosens up a little after I smile at him and then I give him a peck on the lips. He emits a squeak of shock. I chuckle and Mana giggles behind me and I motion for her to come forward.

"Yugi this is Mana. She's been a close friend since my childhood and behind her is Mahad. He's a member of my court and the palace magician. Mana is training under Mahad to join him," I say. Yugi smiles and nods at them both showing respect. "It a so great that the Pharaoh has found you. I was wondering if he was ever going to choose a boy. It's awesome to meet you," she says extending a hand. He extends a hand and shakes hers. "It's lovely to meet you too Mana," he says with his cute voice.

"Nice to meet you Yugi. If you ever see me and need help, just let me know," says Mahad. "Thanks and it's nice to meet you too," says Yugi. "Time for lessons Mana," says Mahad and she groans and follows him out. "You look absolutely stunning Yugi," I say and he blushes. "I-I've never worn something like this before Pharaoh, but I'm happy you like it," he says. "Though there's something I want you to know. Don't be afraid to tell me no. I'm not going to force you to do something you are completely not comfortable with. I will ask things of you, but they aren't orders unless I say so. You also aren't to take any order from anyone other than myself," I say and he nods. "There are other things we need to discuss in private. However I have meetings to attend. I'll see you both at dinner," I say and give Yugi a kiss before heading to my meeting knowing Joey will take care of him.

Yugi's POV

I am shocked that he has already kissed me. He's been so nice like a teddy bear almost. However after hearing that I'm going to have to get in bed with the Pharaoh, I'm a bit uncertain. I've never slept with anyone before. What if I do something wrong and he sends me away? "Hey Yugi you ok," asks Joey. "Umm yeah. I'm just thinking," I say. "Now Yugi you look like your thinking too much. What's on your mind," he asks. "It's just a bit overwhelming that I'm here in the palace. I mean I'm going to be sharing his food and bed with him. Who expects something like that? Add to the fact that I have no experience in bed and I want to please the Pharaoh. It's just getting to me I guess," I say.

"My advice for you Yugi is if you are ever unsure of something or feeling overwhelmed. Talk to the Pharaoh when you're alone. He cares for your well being as much as his own and he'll help guide you through this change," says Joey. I smile. "Thanks. I'll talk to him so he knows how I feel," I say. "Good now how bout I show you around a bit before dinner," he says. "Of course. Umm can I ask you a question," I ask as we start walking. He nods. "What do you do for the Pharaoh," I ask. "Well I mostly do stuff for him like bring him his meals when he's not eating in the dining hall, running errands for him, and pretty much slaves work except he doesn't treat me as a slave. He is always adamant that he's appreciative of what I do for him and I couldn't have a better life honestly," he says.

"Wow that's cool," I say. He shows me around the palace before taking me to the dining hall for dinner. The Pharaoh looks up when we come in and smiles. "How was your guys afternoon," he asks. "Great I was showing Yugi around the palace and answering what questions I could," says Joey and I nod with a smile. "Good be sure you help him a lot as he adjusts to life here," says the Pharaoh. Joey nods and we both sit at the table with me to the Pharaohs right and Joey to his left. I can see Mana and Mahad as well as some other people. "Yugi this is the rest of my council. Starting from your right Isis, Seto, Karim, Shada, and Aknadin. You already know Mahad and Mana," he says. "It's nice to meet you all. You're familiar to me Isis," I say.

"I've bought a few games from your grandfathers game shop for the palace," she says. "Ahh yes now I remember," I say and the chefs bring out the food and there's a lot of it. I am amazed at the amount though I only take enough that I need to eat. While Joey takes a lot of food, my jaw drops at how much he eats. "He's always eaten that much. How though we'll never know," says Mana. After we've went through five courses, everyone is chatting throughout the table. "So Yugi I hear you're amazing at Duel Monsters," says Joey. "Yeah I'm pretty good. I don't know bout amazing," I say. "Oh come on you're great at it. Anyways do you mind taking a look at my deck. I just have been in a rut lately and maybe a different set of eyes is just what I need," he says.

I nod and he hands me his deck and I flip through his cards. "Hmm from the looks of it you need better more powerful cards. Your deck also isn't quite balanced so it could use a couple of magic and trap cards to support your monsters," I say looking at it some more. "Yeah I just haven't been able to score any good monsters you know," he says. "I'll have to show you my deck later. I also may have a card that might help you," I say and hand his deck back to him. "Awesome," says Joey. After another hour of hanging out in the dining room, Joey takes me out of the room so they can have conversations not meant for our ears. He takes me through the halls till we come to a set of double doors.

"These are the Pharaohs chambers. This is where you'll be staying since your more personal with him than I am. My room is the one just down the hall. He's asked me to bring you here and to tell you to wait for him on the bed," he says and I immediately get nervous. "Don't be afraid of him. He wants you to enjoy this as much as him. He'll prolly spend the day with you tomorrow to get acquainted with you," says Joey. I nod and smile at him and enter the room. I look around and see a big walk in closet with his clothes and a vanity with a lot of fine jewelry. Against the far wall is a huge bed big enough for 10 people and a surplus of pillows on it. I go and sit on it waiting for the Pharaoh to come in from dinner and ponder what I'm going to say to him.
