Chapter 5

Chapter 5- He Returns

Hours has past and we were still in hiding. Rouge had fallen asleep on the couch and I was lost in thought. "How can this be happening to me"? I asked in my mind. I then stood up and walked in the kitchen. I poured me a glass of water and took a sip. I sat it down and I felt someone's presence in the room. I turned around and saw shadow. I was about to scream, until he put his hand over my mouth and grabbed me quickly. He chaos controlled out of the house and we appeared deeper in the woods. "I miss maria". I said in my head. Shadow then let go of me, and starred at me, with wide eyes. "what did you say"? he asked. "I miss my baby girl, Maria". Shadow then had another surprised look on his face. "you have a baby"? "We have a baby". I said correcting him. He then glared at me. "that's impossible, the only maria I know is.....". He then paused and looked away. "Never mind". I then cleared my throat. "I know, Maria Robotinak, on space colony ark, who got shot, by a G.U.N. soldier". Shadow then starred at me and then punched me. I was sent flying, til my back hit a tree. Shadow then pinned me to the tree and grabbed my shirt. "How do you know about her"!?! he yelled. "Because you told me". I responded. "but I don't know you"! he yelled once more. "Well, you used to". I replied. Shadow then threw me on the ground. "I also know that you were created on space colony ark, ultimate life form". Shadow then picked me up by the shirt and growled. "How do you know me and how do you know us so well"? he asked. I then was about to reply, until I saw someone, wearing a long green  hoodie, running away. My face froze. "Are you really a spy"? he asked as he put me down. "Hold that thought". I said as I ran after the green hoodie figure. "where are you going"? he asked as he ran after me. I then chaos controlled in front of the green hoodie figure to see a black and white cat, with golden eyes. "YOU"! I yelled. "You changed my perfect life and now nobody remembers who I am"! He was silent. "Why are you doing this to me"!?!? I yelled feeling tears forming. "Because you are going to change things from bad to worse". I then glared at him. "What does that even mean"? I asked in rage. He then sighed. "You are a threat to the world and your power will hurt us all". I didn't know what to say. "well, why are you here'? "Can't you just disappear, instead of running"? He then glared at me. "That's none of your business and I would if I could". He then started to walk away. "Then can you at least tell me how I'm going to destroy the world"? "That's none of your concern". he replied. "It is my concern when you make my boyfriend, shadow, not remember me, and almost hurt me"! He was silent. Something sparked inside of me. "If you could change the past and everything, why didn't you change Shadow's"? "What for you mean"? he asked. I then felt anger grow inside of me. "Shadow loved Maria to death and still does". "Why didn't you change his past and make him happy again"? Descendant then stood up and looked at me. "For someone who could destroy the world, you sure do care a lot". "Well, of course I do"! I yelled. "I love shadow and even if he doesn't love me, I still want him to be happy and be with the person that he does love". Descendant then gave me a compassionate hug. "look, I know if was sad, but if that hadn't of happen, shadow wouldn't be a hero and people would have never of heard of him". "He's a true hero and you would have never of met him at all". It was silent. "Things happen for a reason, unless I know for a fact that they will not end the worlds in ruin, then I leave it alone". I then looked away. "This is a problem that you need to fix on your own". "You need to prove to me that you are better than a wannabe or you will be stuck like this..........forever". Descendant then ran off. "Wait"! He was already gone. I then sat down and played all of my memories in my head. I started to cry. I don't care who saw me, my life was ruined. "Hey". said the sweet, steady voice of Shadow. I looked up to see him standing over me. "look, if your going to take me to eggman or kill me, just get it over with". Shadow was silent. "I saw everything". I then had wide eyes. "you did"? I asked. he nodded. He then cane closer. "Even though I don't know you a lot or remember you very well, I still think that was the nicest thing anyone has ever said about me". I then smiled. He then sat down next to me. "You know, I always thought that Maria was the only one that who cared about me". "I thought I was just an accident, until I realized more people care about me, than I thought". I then nodded. "Especially me". "Another thing". he said. I looked at him confused. "I believe you". He then pulled out my golden necklace of me and his initials in it. He opened it and "Over and Over" by Three days grace, started to play. "you did come from somewhere else, didn't you"? I nodded. "but how could me and you be you know......". he started. "Together"? I finished. "Well, I was turned into a yellow hedgehog and when everything changed, so did I". Shadow then stood up. "Come on, I want to know everything you know". He took my hand. He then took out his chaos emerald. "Chaos Control"! he yelled and we vanished. (I feel like we forgot something though....... oh well).
