SMUT WARNING !!!! >:-)

Joji's P.O.V.

Hospitals make me really uncomfortable. I don't know if it's the smell, or the fact that all the floors and walls are blindingly white, or maybe it's the fact that they're places that many people go to die in. They just freak me out.

I sighed and looked over to Ian and a very worried looking Chad, both sitting in chairs across from mine. Ian was flipping through a magazine, and I couldn't make out the cover. It looked like it might have been Rolling Stone. Chad was bouncing his knees up and down, watching the TV in the waiting room. My phone was completely dead, and I was beginning to consider asking the strangers in the waiting room if they had an extra charger with them. But that seems rude, I'm sure they're waiting to hear the news of someone else's condition just as we were.

"Did your phone die?" Ian looked up from his magazine, and I looked up from my black screen.

"Yeah. Do you have a charger?" I asked him.

"Nah, do you need to text anyone?" he asked, closing the magazine and placing it in it's holder.

"I don't need to, but I wanted to update Y/N about what happened.

"Here, use mine." Ian pulled his phone out of his pocket, handing it over to me.

"Thanks, man." I typed in Y/N's number and began a new text.

Me: hey. it's joji. max drank a bit too much tonight and got into a fight. he should be alright, but he's also got a severe case of alcohol poisoning. dumbass

I places Ian's phone on the table beside me, and waited for her reply. After a few minutes, she responded.

Y/N: Holy shit

Y/N: What exactly happened? He just started throwing hands or some shit?

Y/N: You're fine right?

Me: yeah im fine!!

Me: he was yelling at shit at this bar, and we were trying to get him to calm down. this guy came over to us, told max to shut the fuck up, and max tried to punch him. the dude was huge, and he just started beating max. even when max was on the ground, the guy just kept kicking him.

Y/N: Who does something like that

Me: and we tried to get max up, but he had passed out and wasn't responding to any of us. so we called 911 and got him out of there and into the hospital. now we're just waiting to hear what his condition is.

Y/N: Well update me as you can. It's really late but I'll turn my ringer volume all the way up in case I fall asleep.

Me: if he wakes up soon i'll tell him you're worried. that'll make him feel better for sure.

I handed Ian's phone back to him and he nodded.

"That fuckin' shitbrain's always thought he's got a liver of steel." Chad piped up.

"He's gonna be fine. His face might be a little fucked up, but he'll live from the alcohol poisoning. It might just take a little while for him to recover." said Ian, and I looked up at the TV. It was set to some news channel. I was really ready to be back home, in bed. But Max is my best friend, I just wish he wasn't so stupid sometimes.

A nurse came in from around the corner and turned on her heel to face us.

"Your friend is going to be fine." she began, and we all let out a deep sigh of relief. "I'm afraid we're going to have to keep him here for at least a night, maybe even up to three days." she clicked a pen and began writing something on her clipboard.
