Episode.

I'm just gonna start from the  very beginning. We start with Bonnie almost dying, what else is new, where we left off last episode after the Steroline wedding.

In Bonnie's mind we see this really comfortable bed that I wouldn't mind spending my eternal coma in, lucky Elena. So Elena wakes up in the dream and is all "You were supposed to grow old and have children."

And Bonnie being Bonnie says she's ready to die. But Enzo comes and says it not her time. I've never related to Enzo St.John more in my life.

So, Bonnie gets back to the real world to a relieved Stefan and Caroline, and LIVES

So meanwhile, Damon throws Vicki off of the bell tower to stop her from ringing the bell that will burn Mystic Falls alive with mystical hellfire. Vicki however comes back quickly.

Damon leaves Matt to convince his sister but he can't do it, so Matt calls in to activate the evacuation program because of a gas leak. "Yes...again." HA

ANYWAYS Stefan and Damon head to the boarding house, where they're all defeated thinking Katherine won. BUT THEN

ELENA

MY SECOND FAVOURITE DOPPELGANGER WOKE UP

...Or so everyone thought.

Damon hugs 'Elena' before realzing it's not Elena.

IT'S​ EVEN BETTER THAN ELENA

KATHERINE

MY FAVOURITE DOPPELGANGER

So Damon drops her after the hug and she's all "rude." And then dramatic music starts playing "hello brothers."

So, apparently Katherine had the 'devil', Cade wrapped around her little perfect finger the minute she stepped into hell in season 5. I KNEW IT I KNEW GEORGIE AND KATHERINE'S DEATHS WERE TOO SIMILAR KATHERINE WENT TO HELL

"Why did you think he wanted you? Because I wanted you. DUH." God I missed Katherine.

But Stefan daggers her with the bone dagger so she's temporarily unconcious. Then both brothers go looking for Elena, and Stefan calls Caroline, his wife *gags* to help him.

Ric however, doesn't want his children to grow up without a mother. Caroline uses the infamous "it's​ Elena." excuse but girl it's been 2 seasons that shit got old a long time ago.

So Caroline promises she'll make it back. Meanwhile, Stefan finds Elena in the High School boiler room and calls Damon, who's all "I'm sure there's a horror movie reference in there somewhere."

But Elena can't get out of the room because Kai spelled it shut for Katherine

Damon hangs up and runs into Katherine, who woke up and is back with her curly hair GOD BLESS

Damon starts playing with her insecurities saying he and his brother would always pick Elena, but two can play at that game "And she would pick Stefan. Because I would. He's the better man."

Damon is tired of her shit so daggers her again.

Meanwhile at the armory Bonnie comes up with a plan to save the world YET AGAIN

Caroline asks if she'll be fine and Bonnoe reassures her, "Get in that car while I'll save the world."

Meanwhile Damon took Katherine to the tomb she was supposed to be dessicating in in season 1 and Damon's all "Bonnie has a plan."

He explains to Katherine how Bonnie will send the hellfire straight back to hell with her dormant magic, while he and her "will be waiting patiently to die."

BUT stefan, always the martyr comes in and wants to die alongside Katherine instead, so that Damon can live his happily ever after with Elena

They dagger Katherine again, who's starting to break Elijah's record of the times they've been daggered

Then they proceed to have an argument about who needs their redemption the most and is going to die alongside Katherine.

AND CUE ONE OF TVD'S MOST EMOTIONAL SCENES

NO IM NOT CRYING YOU ARE

Eventually, because Stefan's human, Damon was able to compel him to leave. "I am the big brother. I'm​ sorry I wasn't better at it until now."

MY HEART

WHO SAYS IM CRYING IM NOT CRYING

OK IM CRYING

AND THEN DAMON WAS ALL "I love you, little brother."

And you know what? I was completely okay with Damon dying like this, because he would have died as a hero

BUT obviously Stefan would never be human without wearing vervain I mean DUH

So we get the Stelena scene, and they hug and all, but then Stefan explains what he had to do

He had given his blood, the cure to Damon before handing Katherine over to her fate

KATHERINE: Gone since season 5, brought back in final episode of s8, killed off again.

But anyway back to the point Stefan is dead too and he reunited with LEXI so that was real nice

naturally everyone is all sad because of Stefan but meanwhile Bonnie breaks Kai's spell

AND THE REAL ELENA COMES BACK

AND SHE GOES TO SEE CAROLINE AND DAMON WHO WERE AT STEFAN'S CRYPT

AND DAMON AND ELENA SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN AND DON'T TALK OR SMILE OR HUG NOPE

THEY KISS

Elena and Damon kissing passionately on Damon's brother's funeral. Classic Delena.

So then we get to know what everyone's gonna do with their lives. Bonnie's gonna travel the world, Matt remained sheriff in MF and got his own bench.

BUT THEN

Caroline and Ric opened their school I don't really care about that I care about the letter Caroline got from Klaus

IT'S ALIVE

KLAROLINE IS ALIVE

I AM ALIVE

I CAN DIE PEACEFULLY NOW

"However long it takes" OH MY GOD

HE SAID IT AGAIN

HE STILL WANTS TO BE HER LAST LOVE

*clears throat* I'm okay.

We also see the spirits of Jo and Liz at peace so that was nice

We have Elena writing in her diary and then Damon's there, and they start their happy human life together

60+ years later they die and go to the same peace where Vicki, Tyler, Liz and Jo were, at peace

I saw Jenna I SCREAMED

I HAVEN'T SEEN JENNA SINCE HER DEATH IN SEASON 2

And Elena reunites with Jenna and her parents and with Uncle father John too it was very cute

And Damon reunites with Stefan

And they hug

And

That

End.

...but hey next week we have The Originals so not all hope is lost for me, for us

Also be proud of me I recapped the entire episode out of my head thank you very much.
