I've been sleepwalking since I was a kid. I'd go to bed, fall asleep and wake up hours later standing in the middle of the forest. It's been like that as long as I can remember. At first my parents freaked out, but soon they learned to hide the door key. But somehow I still got out. My mom and dad didn't understand how, I was just a 6 year old.
When I was 8 it stoped. I didn't sleepwalk anymore. My parents were happy, but we never figured out what was the reason of my sleepwalking.

Now I'm 35. I'm married and have a wonderful daughter, she's 5 and is my little ray of sunshine.
But recently she has started sleepwalking too. She never leaves the house when she sleepwalks, but she always goes into the living room and stares out the window, into the forest behind our house.

I've asked her what she's looking at but she always responds with "nothing." Or "I didn't look at anything. I was listening." Then she refuses to answer any more questions.

But two nights ago, she left the house while sleepwalking. I was so scared when it happend, "what if she's hurt?!" "What if she's lost and I'll never see her again!?" I paniced and my husband tried to calm me down. "Christine, calm down. She's five, she can't have gone far." He said, me still running around like a maniac. Five minutes later, when I had calmed down enough to be able to listen to my dear husband, we decided to look in the forest after her. We grabbed two flashlights and our cellphones and went out into the dark forest.

"Amanda!" We called for her, but absolute silence was our response. "Amanda!" "Amanda sweetie!" We looked for half an hour but still didn't find her. "Where is she?" I was so worried. Then I thought of something, what if...? Oh god, please no..... "the lake!" I looked at my husband. He looked confused. "The small lake, she may be at the small forest lake!" He finnally realized what I was talking about. In this forest, there is a lake. Not many people know about it, atleast I've never seen anyone there, my husband and I found it when we had just moved into the house six years ago. It's not that deep, but it's deep enough for a 5 year old to drown in.

We ran as fast as we could to the lake, and there, on the edge of the bridge, she stood. "AMANDA! GET OFF THE BRIDGE!" I shouted, but she didn't seem to hear me. "AMA-" I called out again by my husband hushed me."Chris.... listen...." I shut up and listened, and yes, I heared something. A voice, quiet and whispering but it was there. It came from the middle of the lake. I focused on trying to hear what it said, and finnally heard it. "...the water... come into the water my child... come... come.... join me.... my dear daughter....." a faint glow appeared in the lakes center, and from it, a woman came. I was shocked, the woman.... no the THING looking like a woman.... she, she looked like me. "I'm comming mommy." I heard my daughters voice looked back at her. "AMANDA!!! NOOO!!!" I ran towards the bridge but Amanda stepped of the bridge, out into the water.... but... she didn't fall into the water, she walked on the surface. "Come sweetie... come to me... come to me.... join me...." the ghastly woman said. "I'm coming mommy." Amanda said. I wanted to jump into the water, but I couldn't move. It was like a force held me back. Amanda now stood infront of the woman. "I'm her mommy." She said and smiled up at the woman. The woman smiled and said, "good, my child.... soon we'll be together forever..." then it happend, Amanda sank into the water. "NO!!" I screamed, still unable to move. I saw the bubbles, and then they stopped. No no no no!! My baby... my child!! I felt the tears welling up. "Now we'll be together.... forever...."

The following day the police came to investigate. They asked alot of questions and we answered, we lied of course, they would never believe us if we told the truth. They'd never believe us if we said that my dead identical twin sister that my husband and I killed five years ago, came to take back the child we kidnapped from her and raised as our own....
