Chapter 3: Grimm Heart

"I'm boooorrrrred!"
[Ryu] "...."

Outside the room, ozpin and Glynda were both watching the stationary boy as he ignored the voice in his head.

[Glynda] "*sigh* I thought he was making some progress..."
[Ozpin] "mmm."
[Glynda] "how he hasn't keeled over from refusing to eat is beyond me. He won't eat, he doesn't sleep, doesn't talk... he's just like an extremely depressing statue."
[Ozpin] "did you just make a joke?"
[Glynda] "I did no such thing."
[Ozpin] "well, regardless, I don't think we'll have to worry about that for much longer."
[Glynda] "what do you mean?"
[Ozpin] "look."

Ozpin directed his and Glynda's gaze towards the entrance to the room, revealing a golden haired boy with no shirt, a white jacket, blue jeans and a golden monkey tail listlessly following behind him.

[Glynda] "does he think he's being sneaky?"
[Ozpin] "let's let him believe that for now."

The boy "stealthily" walked over to Ryu.

- Ryu

"Hey! You've got another visitor."
[Ryu] "..."

The monkey Faunus drew his face extremely close to mine but I decided to continue to ignore him as he gave me a plethora of looks ranging from inquisitive to downright stupid.

[Monkey Faunus] "hey there, you're Ryu right? Team Rwby told me about you."

This guy knows the girls?

[Monkey Faunus] "name's sun, like the big yellow thing in the sky. ... soooo, *waves his hand in front of my face* anyone in there?"
"Yeah, right here!"
[Ryu] "..."
[Sun] "hmmmm.... well, guess I'll tell you the reason I'm here. Team Rwby, me, and my friend Neptune are going to go take down a corrupt organisation. They didn't want to do it without the whole team. You in?"
[Ryu] "..."
[Sun] "hmmm, y'know, Ruby's in quite the predicament right about now."

My dead eyes looked up towards the monkeys face.

[Sun] "got your attention? Good, now, Ruby's not actually in any danger."

Ah, then you've lost my interest.

[Sun] "however. We are going to be up against the white fang and I heard that you may or may not have a score to settle with-"

Sun fell backwards when I unintentionally began leaking out my aura. I stood up, walked past the boy and straight out the door, much to the surprise of sun who, when he realised what had happened, chased after me as fast as he could.

[Glynda] "that boy... is revenge the only thing that will get him to move?"
[Ozpin] "for now perhaps."

Ozpin grabbed something off the table behind him and headed out the door.

- Ryu

When I walked out of the room I was met by Ozpin, his calm face giving off the impression that everything was going as it should. This kinda pissed me off, however, he handed me something. clothes all folded up neatly. My shirt and jacket, repaired nicely.

[Ryu] "thanks."
[Ozpin] "you can thank me by not getting yourself stabbed again."

I don't plan on getting stabbed again don't worry. However, if I see those three again at any point, safe to say they'll be greeted warmly. Maybe I'll put some burn dust in my weapon when I do it. Speaking of which... I need to go get my weapon.

[Sun] "hey! Where're you going? Beacons that way. *points towards Beacon*"
[Ryu] "..."

I just kept walking while sun kept following. Eventually we made it to the hunters heaven where my weapon would most likely be.

I opened the door before being greeted by the familiar little auburn haired girl.

[Auburn] "yer back?"
[Ryu] "I am."
[Sun] "who's the shrimp?"
[Auburn] "looks like ya got'a fly be'ind ya, don' worry, I'll get it fer ya."

Auburn pulled out her massive battle axe, surprising Sun before he once again fell on his ass.

[Sun] "whoa, whoa, whoa!"
[Ryu] "need him."
[Auburn] "hm? *putting away her weapon* ya seem quieter than ya were last time. Something up?"
[Ryu] "need my weapon, is it here?"
[Auburn] "Dragons fang? Yeah, it's 'ere. Oye! Old man! Ya got Ryu's weapon!?"
[Alistair] "the lads 'ere!? Come in 'ere then!"
[Auburn] "you 'erd him!"

Sun and I began walking to the back but once again the person I came with was forbidden entrance to the back area.

[Sun] "Huh?"
[Auburn] "ya don't git permission ta go back there wit'out bein' important."
[Sun] "o-oh."

Alistair and I continued to the back. Not much has changed in the time I've been away. Still the burning forge and well looked after weaponry.

[Alistair] "the dragon was stabbed wit' its own fang... ya not jus' gonna let that go are ya lad?"
[Ryu] "not a chance."
[Alistair] "*smiling* that's what I like to 'ear!"

He quickly grabbed my Dragons fang, sheathed and ready to go from atop one of the workbenches.

[Alistair] "try not to let this one outta yer sight."
[Ryu] "this one?"
[Alistair] "ah, guess I oughta show ya."

Alistair brought me further back than I'd ever been, and sitting there, by the furnace, I saw it. The original Dragons fang, the blade was no longer black but a bloody, crimson red. The handle was crusted in a strange bone though the mechanisms still looked like they were functioning properly.

[Alistair] "whatever's inside you, is in that now. That ain't a dragon."

I picked up the blade, looking at it like an old friend.

[Ryu] "whatever it is, it took a part of me, it is a part of me. So I'll be taking this as well."
[Alistair] "hmmmm~ I suppose it's not gonna get used otherwise. Awright, but yer'll need to give it a new name."
[Ryu] "*placing his hand on his chest* Grimm heart."
[Alistair] "not bad lad, jus' be sure yer's doesn't become the same."

Walking back to the entrance I turned my head and made one last statement before sheathing both blades at my sides and walking out.

[Ryu] "Who? Me?"
[Ryu & Sol] "it might be a little late for that."
[Alistair] "*quietly* I hope not. For yer sake, and the little red lass."

I walked past sun as I left without saying another word.

[Sun] "hey! Ready to go see the others now? Ooh, nice swords, can I see? *Grimm heart begins letting out black smoke* orrr maybe not... I don't think I wanna touch that."
[Ryu] "good choice."
