Louis's P.O.V.
"And the act going home this week is..."
The boys and I held each others hands and bowed our heads. We had come such a long way since the competition began. Our voices meshed in this way, like we were meant to sing together. We balanced each other out in this weird way. Liam was the smart one, Niall was the hungry one, Zayn was the vain one, Harry was the flirty one, and I turned out to be the funny one. We made these video diaries for the show, and they were hilarious. The fans would ask us the weirdest questions. The fans, holy shit, the fans. It had only been about two months and the fans were with us every step of the way. Whenever we left the building they were there behind fences, asking for pictures. There were hundreds of them. I needed to win the competition, I secretly hoped that we would get voted off. That phone call from Lauren was driving me insane. She told me I coould come to New York after the competition and see what wa goimg on. I knew it was something with Hayley, but I needed to know for sure. She had to be okay, if somebody hurt her, I would make sure that they never lived to see the morning. There was no denying it anymore. I loved Hayley.
"One Direction" the announcer said into his michrophone. My head fell to my hands. Tears streamed through my eyes and stung my palms. I was so sad that this was over, yet at the same time I was relieved that I would no longer hav to wait to find out what happened to Hayley.
The boys and I moved into a group hug, all of us with tear stained cheeks. Harry looked everyone in the eyes and in a hushed tone said, "We won't stop singing, okay? Never." We all nodded our heads in agreement as Simon walked towards us.
"What is next for One Direction?" He asked and Simon's eyes lit up like a Christmas tree.
"I don't know yet, but this is definently not the end of One Direction." The crowd cheered and we were ushered backstage. Before I could get a hand on my phoneto call Lauren, Simon pulled us into the other room. "I have some big news, boys."
We exchanged glances nervously, yet with excitment. "How would One Direction feel about a record deal?" We erupted into cheers, and jumps of joy. None of us had ever been so happy in our lives. There was never goimg to be a moment like this ever again.
"Yes!" We all screamed and Harry ran out of the room yelling, "I have to tell Lauren!" and doing this weird dance/run and I laughed my ass off at his awkward movements. I was so caught up in the moment that I completely forgot about Hayley. We were brought together because of my break up. If I hadn't wanted a way to forget about her, then I wouldn't have auditioned. Now I'm here with my four best friends in the whole world. No. We were practically brothers now.
"When are we going to go record our music?" I asked Simon, with a sudden sense of curiosity.
"I hired a few writers, and they have already started on your music a bit. I was thinking you lads could stay out here for a while and and help out with the song writing. Then of course you would have a few weeks break then we could start recording. How does that sound?" He replied. All of this seemed so normal to him. He was making peoples' dreams come true, and it was almost oblivious to how grateful all the people who helped were, including the boys and I.
"Yes of course!" I yelled and the boys cheered in the background. This was better than making my audition, better than when we were put together as a group. It was almost the best day of my life. But nothing could beat the day that Hayley agreed to be my girlfriend.
"Okay, why don't you go pack your bags and get a good night's rest. Meet me at the Starbucks a block from here at 10am tomorrow morning." He instructed and the smile on my face broadened even more.
"Simon?" I said and he turned around while he walked out of the door. "Thank you." I said and I truly meant it. He smiled and nodded as he closed the door behind him.
