Lucy's POV

I looked in to Elvis's eyes and a smile spread across my face mirroring the one on his. I jumped in happiness and let a small squeal escape my lips. I landed on the floor and forgot about my skates, the wheels rolled and I fell backwards. Just before I hit the floor strong arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me towards a warm chest. His face was only centimetres away from mine and I could feel his breath on my face.

"You always were clumsy." He breathed and I felt a blush rise on my cheeks.

I lightly tapped his chest and he lifted me on to my feet. I wobbled slightly but managed to get over to one of the barstools without falling over.

"So you're a big star now." I said and he looked at me from under the brim of his hat. How it had stayed on his head I swear I would never know.

"Yeah." He rubbed the back of his neck and then replaced the hat after he knocked it wonky. "That's why I'm wearing the hat... and the scarf."

I laughed and he chuckled lightly. "I was wondering. In all the time I have known you I have never seen you in a hat."

"Yeah, it's the only way for me to walk around and not get mobbed by screaming fan girls."

"You do realise that most guys your age would kill for that kind of power over women."

"Well they obviously haven't met the right girl yet have they?"

"And you have?" I asked and he seemed to shut down. His face turned neutral and all warmth from his eyes disappeared behind a mask. He said nothing and so I took his hand in both of mine.

" I didn't mean anything by it." He nodded and started to relax and smiled once again.

We continued to talk until I was tapped on the head. Chloe was stood behind me with a dish towel slung over one shoulder and a pen stuck behind one ear.

"Can I take your order please?" She asked sarcastically and I blushed.

"How long have we been talking?"

"Around an hour, or more. I stopped counting when I found someone else that wanted to talk to you."

I raised an eyebrow and she gestured towards a figure in one of the booths. I rolled over slowly so I didn't fall and stopped at the table. The man there looked up at me and I felt a smile break over my face again.

"Red!" I exclaimed and he grinned at me. I gave him a hug that he returned, lifting me off the floor so that I couldn't breathe. "Red, I need to breathe." He laughed and placed me back on my feet.

"What are you doing here?" I asked and he looked at me questioningly.

"I'm here with Elvis. He always comes here when him and Pricilla have a fight. Granddad usually mans the bar, where is he?"

I looked at him bewildered. "He's in hospital. I thought Mum had told you."

He gaped at me and I guided him to the chair nearest to us. He took my hand and I squeezed slightly.

"Can we go and see him?" He asked and I shook my head slightly.

"Not yet, they've said that we should give it a week before we visit. They said that he needed to recover a little and then we will have free reign."

Red nodded and I felt Chloe and Elvis step up behind me. Red climbed to his feet and I allowed him to join our little circle.

"Oi! Can I get some service over here?" a gruff voice yelled from the other side of the room and Chloe forced a smile on to her face. She was muttering under her breath as she skated over to the customer.

"Would you like to meet up at some point?" Elvis asked me and I blushed slightly again.

"That would be lovely." I said and he stepped closer to me.

"So dinner at 8 tonight?" He said and I nodded slightly. He lent his face closer to mine and just as I was starting to feel his breath against my lips Red butted in smiling.

"Where are we going tonight?" He asked innocently, well sort of. "I am absolutely starving. Aren't you Chloe?"

"What?" She shouted while slamming her fist against the till. "It's bloody stuck again Lucy. We need a new one!"

"Are you hungry? Elvis is taking us all out for dinner."

"Am I?"

"He is?" I said.

"Yeah ok." She said and after finally getting the till to open and shut she skated over to us. "What time are you picking us up at?"

"8 apparently. Well that's what he told Lucy so be ready by half past 7."

"Ok."

"Well we will have to go now." Red said dragging Elvis towards the door. "We will see you later." And then they were gone.

I looked at Chloe and she gave me an innocent smirk. "You don't mind do you?" She asked and batted her eyelashes at me.

"Not at all." I replied shortly.
