General POV

Lucy growled and threw another dress on to the pile. She was starting to run out of clothes to discard and she was on the verge of panicking. It was only an hour until Elvis and Red turned up and she was scared that she wouldn't be ready in time, or would look wrong, or would act weirdly, or would... the list never ended. Lucy took a few deep breaths and tried to calm herself. Just as she had started to succeed Chloe came running in to the room.

"I could have been getting changed you know!" Lucy said, turning back to the piles of clothes.

"Yes well you weren't were you? Anyway what are you wearing?"

Lucy gave a frustrated growl and threw another dress down.

"I don't know! I don't want to look over dressed or under dressed and Red wont tell me where we are going so I can't decide! Everytime I find an outfit I like it clashes wih something or I just dont like the way it falls. Loads of my dresses seem too long or too tight or too mismatched. The shoes that I want to wear are scuffed so I am stuck wearing a pair of pinching heels that are going to destroy my feet and mean that I won't be able to walk for the next week."

Chloe raised an eyebrow and then pushed Lucy on to the bed and away from the clothes.

"Calm." She said and Lucy just glared at her. "Breathe in time with me. In... Out... In... Out..."

Lucy finally began to calm and some of the redness drained from her cheeks.

"Right," Chloe rummaged through Lucy's wardrobe and found a pretty blue dress. "Try this on."

Lucy took a glance at the dress and shook her head.

"I am not wearing that. It wont look right."

After a few minutes of debating, name calling and a push or two towards the bathroom Lucy finally locked the door and began to get changed.

The dress was light blue at the top and faded in to a darker shade towards the bottom.  It was tight and delicately folded up until her midriff where it floated out in to silky waves. The blue at the top brought out her eyes and the bottom matched Elvis's eyes perfectly.

After twirling in it appreciatively, Lucy opened the door and went back in to her room. On the bed were a pair of strappy blue heels with a note attahed to the top.

'Mum gave them to me. Where the hell would I wear these?! They match the dress and should be your size.'

Lucy placed them on and took a few steps. They weren't the most comfortable but they were far better than her blue heels.

Sitting down at the dresser Lucy started to apply her makeup. A slight bit of blue eye shadow framed her eyes and her dark lashes only needed curling upwards. After a slight streak of clear lip gloss she stood up and walked in to the living room.

Chloe came out a few minuets later in a green and black dress. She wore black heels and dark eyeshadow that made the green in her eyes stand out. After twirling at Lucy's request she stepped in to the kitchen and poured herself a glass of Jack Daniels.

"You can't drink now they will be here in a minute." Lucy told her taking the glass. "You don't want to be drunk when they get here do you?"

Chloe nodded vigorously but Lucy just poured the alcohol down the sink.

Just before Chloe could grab the bottle laying on the side the doorbell rang.

"Coming!" Chloe yelled and walked to the door. As she invited the men in Lucy became very self conscious.

Smoothing her dress down amd blushing to the high heavens she walked slowly around to the door.

Elvis was stood in front with his hands clasped behind his back. He was dressed in a crisp white suit with a light blue shirt and no tie. His shoes gleamed in the light and his crooked smile made Lucy's knees go weak.

"Wow!" He said and offered her his arm. Once again blushing she grabbed it and they made their way in through the diner and out on to the streets.

A black limousine was parked right in front of them and Lucy slid in.

Red was sat casually across from them with a glass held loosely in one hand. He flashed a grin at them and then stared at the door until it opened again.

Chloe climbed in to the car and looked around it in wonder.

"I could get used to this!"

Everyone chuckled and soon enough the car was rolling. They chattered on for a while covering all of the daily topics of conversation, Chloe taking swigs of Red's drink when Lucy wasn't looking.

After about 20 minutes the car stopped and the men helped their respective partners out of the car.

There was a little Italian resaurant tucked in the corner of the street, so unnoticeable that many people were walking past without a second glance. As they entered a blast of warm air, thick with the scent of tomatoes and basil, greeted them.

The tables were set in twos and as the waiter greeted and seated them Lucy could only notice how intimate the setting was.

Small candles flickered in the centre of each table and the atmosphere was warm and romanic. Almost every table was empty apart from 3. These housed young couples holding hands across the table or talking with their heads bent close together.

As Lucy's thoughts wandered towards her and Elvis talking, leaning, almost... A bright red flush came over her and she could only stutter out a 'nothing' when Elvis asked her what was wrong.

'God please let everything go to plan. ' She thought and took her seat.
