Eight

I phase early the next morning, with Jared. We eye each other before running after Sam. We find the clearing. Carlisle scratches my ear and thanks me for joining the fight. I stand beside Leah behind the rock.

The pack all flies over the rock when the fight gets heated. I fight against a black male and I bite his head off. I see someone going towards my sister. Oh hell no.

I jump between the two and they newborn wraps his arms around me. He squeezes and I howl in pain. My howls turn to screams. They finish the fight before phasing and rushing to my side.

"Page, what the hell?" Leah growls.

"My sister isn't getting hurt, over my dead body." I grumble.

"Carefully bring her to the house." Sam grumbles. "Carlisle will re-break her ribs when he arrives."

I whimper as the entire pack help lift me up. I am drenched in sweat and my arms are wrapped around my torso.

They his lay me down on my bed, naked. Jared is having to leave me shirt and bra-less, so Carlisle can do his magic. He puts some baby blue trousers on me before he exits the room.

"Hey, Page." Carlisle greets as he enters the room. "That was brace, risking being hurt for your older sister."

I grimace as a pain hits. "I wasn't going to let them hurt my sister."

"Warning, this will hurt a lot." He says.

With each rib, a new scream escapes my mouth. My face and body are soaked by the time he finishes. She wraps the gauze around my ribs.

"Bella wants to know if you'll attend her and Edwards wedding in a week." Carlisle says.

"I would love to, Carlisle." I smile.

- Leah's POV -

I am still in shock about what Page did. She willingly got hurt so I wouldn't. Maybe I have been a bad sister. She saved my safety by risking her own health.

"She wants to see you, Leah." Carlisle says.

I rush into Page's room. "Hey, little sister."

"I'm going to a wedding next week." She says lightly.

"Whose?" I ask, already knowing.

"Edward and Bella's." She replies with a smile. "I love weddings."

I stare at my sister. She is always so friendly. That's why everyone likes her so much. Mom is pack g up so she can move in wth Charlie in Forks.

"I know you, Pae." I say, using the nickname that is just short for her name.

Her face is sweaty, and her eyes are glossy in pain. I kiss her head.

"Have Jared walk in." She says.

- Jared's POV -

Leah comes out and says Page is asking for me. I get up from my spot and I walk into her room. She smiles lovingly at me as I close her door back. I sit beside her on her bed.

"Let me get a cold wash cloth." I kiss her sweaty forehead.

I walk to the bathroom and I grab a cloth. I wet it with cold water. I close my eyes and I just think of the events. I watched that blood sucker wrap its arms around my beautiful Page. I growl lowly at the thought before going back to her room.

I wipe the sweat off her face with the cold wash cloth and I lay beside her. She smiles and she takes my hand. Bella walks in.

"Hey, Page." She greets.

"Hey, Bells." Page whispers. "I'm excited about the wedding."

"I'm nervous."

"Jared," Page says. "Excuse us, please."

- Page's POV -

Jared leaves and he closes the door behind him. I motion for Bella to sit.

"Edward loves you to death, Bella." I tell her boldly. "There is nothing to be worried about."

"What if I turn up pregnant?" she asks.

"According to Carlisle and the books I read in Jersey. That's very rare. But if it happens, I'll be there every step of the way. I may even leave the pack for you, Bella. A baby is a baby. I can't have them. My anorexia two years ago damaged my uterus, so no babies for me."

She smiles and takes my hand. "I can have Carlisle and Emmett build you a home if it happens."

I nod. "That sounds great. Although, I hope I could stay there. To watch over you."

"I'm sure they wouldn't care."

- Sam's POV -

So, Page would leave for Bella? I guess they are friends. But if Bella does get pregnant, we will have to kill her and the baby, I know Page won't want that. She is going to go with Bella.

I see Jared tense at their conversation now. Jacob is at his house, luckily. He would go crazy if he heard what they are talking about. I sigh as I see Bella leave. I walk to Page's room and she her asleep.

I go to my room and lay beside Emily. I rub circles on her back before we both fall asleep.
