Another Clearwater.

Sixteen

Alice brings me some clothes in with a smile planted on her pretty face.

"Here are some clothes you can wear home." She smiles.

"Help me change, Alice. I'm on bedrest."

She helps me stand and she takes the gown off. My stomach is pretty big right now. I am having twins, so that explains that. Alice helps me into the leggings and the 'future mama bear' tank top. She helps me sit back down and she puts my boots on for me.

"I like that belly." She smiles. "You're body is still flawless."

I smile. "I am scratched up now Alice."

She crosses her arms. "You're still perfection. You almost died."

"Carlisle is my hero." I smile.

He walks in when I say that. He hugs me and hands me my leather jacket. I sit in the wheelchair, hospital policy. Esme helps me into the Mercedes. I was in Alice's car when I wrecked.

Jasper carries me inside and up to the couch. Isabella sits beside me and I assure her that I am okay. She made me godmother of her baby.

We are all sitting around watching a football game, Jacob has came around and left Sam's pack.

"Cold?" I ask, hearing the shivering.

"Yeah." She whispers.

"I got it." Jacob says as he scoots close to her.

Isabella smiles widely at Jacob, making me smile at her.

"Don't do that." He says.

"Don't do what?" She asks, clearly confused.

"Smile like I'm your most favorite person." He replies honestly.

She sighs and she enjoys Jacobs heat. She grunts in pain and I scoot the trash towards her.

"It's hungry." Alice says.

"Baby, Alice." I growl in frustration. "It's just a little baby."

"Jacob might be right." Edward says.  "Jacob had a suggestion."

"It wasn't a suggestion, it was a snide remark." He says snarkily.

"Well, what was it?" I growl.

"Maybe it's looking for something to sink its teeth into." Jacob replies.

"I'll try anything." Isabella gasps.

Alice walks out with Jasper and Emmett. Carlisle puts some fresh human blood in a white cup with a lid and straw before handing it to Isabella.

"It tastes...." she pauses for a moment. "Good."

Carlisle feels her wrist. "Your pulse is strengthening."

"I knew that." I mutter.

"Sorry." He tells me.

I hear a snap. "It broke another bone."

Carlisle takes her for an X-ray, just invade of splinters from the bones breaking. Jacob takes a seat at my food. He rubs my stomach and he grabs a blanket, covering us all up.

"Thank you, Jakey." I smirk.

Jacob sighs. "Can I lay with you?"

I nod. Jacob lays behind me and we both fall asleep.
