Nine

- skip to the wedding -

It is Bella and Edward's wedding today. Jacob is picking Seth up, then he is stopping here to get me. Sam and Jared have been avoiding talking to me since Bella's visit. They might be mad that I would stick up for her if she were with child.

I put on my long, nude dress before I fix my hair. I put on some gold hoop earrings and some bright red lipstick. I spray some perfume before putting my heels on. I hear Jacob's voice chatting with Sam before I enter the living room.

"I'm ready." I say.

They all look up at me, and three jaws drop.

"You look beautiful." Jared coos.

"So, now you notice me?" I scoff. "You ready, Jacob?"

He smirks before nodding. We walk out to his vehicle. Seth moves to the back when he notices I'm in a long dress. I kiss his head before sliding into Jacob's ride.

Alice takes my hand and she drags me to the backyard, where the wedding is being held. I sit with the Cullen family, Jacob sits with my brother in the back row, away from the vampires. I get along with them all.

When the back doors open, everybody stands. Charlie and Bella step out of the house. I smile at my friend, she looks beautiful in her wedding dress.

We all sit down when the preacher asks. Edward and Bella recite their vows and I am in tears before it ends. Carlisle kisses Esme on the cheek after Edward kisses Bella on the lips. It is time for cheers.

I walk up there first. "Bella was the very first person I knew when I got back to Washington. We met on the plane from New Jersey. Her Phoenix plane flew to jersey, and that's how I met her, my plane buddy. I have grown to really like you Bella."

I take my seat and Rene, Bella's mom, goes up and sings.

Emmett walks up there and holds his glass of wine up. "I hope you got enough sleep these eighteen years, Bella. Because you won't be getting much now."

I stifle a laugh as he gets off the stage. He high fives me as he takes a seat. Charlie takes the stage.

"I know Edward will be a good husband." He speaks in his deepish voice. "I know that because I'm a cop, and I know things."

I smirk at that. Charlie sits with my biological mom in the back of the reception aria, which is the back yard too.

I see Edward and Bella off after the wedding. Bella hugs me tightly before she gets into Edwards Volvo. I smile as I stand back beside Jacob and Seth.

"Page, hi." My mother says.

"Hi." I greet with a scowl, I'm still angry with her.

She sighs. "I am terribly sorry, Page."

"Sorry for what exactaly?" I ask with my arms crossed. "For getting rid of me when you wanted to go further with Charlie? I wouldn't mind that, I like Bella."

She slaps me. I gasp and I put my hand on my cheek. It's not the slap that hurt, it's the fact it was my mother. I let a tear escape my eye before I storm into the woods. I phase, ripping my dress. I run to my cliff and I howl in anger.

Page, what happened? - Sam
Sue slapped me. -Page

Sam growls. I step in front of him before he goes towards the wedding.

Come on, Jacob is darting crap with Edward and Bella.

We trot to the edge of the Cullen's woods. We phase back and step out.

"Jacob, Bella isn't our concern anymore." Sam says. "Let's go."

"Sam." I whisper. "Bella is my concern."

Sam glares at me. "Then I cannot keep you at the house."

"You can stay with us." Alice says and flashes over to me. "You can patrol bang around the house."

"Sam, tell Jared its over because I know he'd side with you on killing Bella if he had the chance." I tell him before following Alice inside.

Emmett fist bumps me. "We have a dog in the house. Let's arm wrestle."

"We can hang tomorrow, I'm exhausted." I yawn.

"I'll show you to your room. Human or dog bed?" Esme asks.

"Both?" I whisper.

She nods and she leads me to the top floor. The room has a Queen sized bed and a dog bed at the foot.

"Is it okay if I phase in the house?" I ask. "I wanna sleep down there."

Esme smiles. "Of course it's okay."

"I wanna see you phase." Emmett shouts before flashing upstairs.

Esme walks out. I take my clothes off and I phase. Emmett scratches me behind the ear before leaving. I curl up in my large doggy bed.

I curl up in a ball and I close my dog eyes. I feel cold hands on my back, rubbing my fur. I smell and it smells like Alice. I can smell the difference. I smell the happiness on Alice, the seriousness on Jasper, the goofiness on Emmett, the bitchiness on Rosalie, the father and mother on Esme and Carlisle.  Edward smells like Bella.

My breathing slows as I fall asleep.

- Alice's POV -

I rub my friends fur as she grows tired. I am sitting in her dog bed with her. Why did she choose to sleep here? I frown and I hear her breathing slow as she falls asleep.

I walk downstairs.

"Alice, why so confused love?" Jasper asks me.

"I'm confused on why Page chose to sleep in the dog bed, instead of the comfy bed." I mutter.

"She feels betrayed." Jasper says, feeling her emotion. "Sue gave her up, and Sam kicked her out because she still considers Bella her concern. She feels betrayed by the people she loves the most."

I frown. "That is so sad! We cannot betray her too, Jas."

"And we won't, my love." Jasper kisses my ear. "I promise. I will talk to the others. We will all be here for Page."
