~Jack's POV~
There were hushed whispers coming from down stairs. All of a sudden I heard Matt yell something about princesses ..? Not even half a second later Matt burst through the door , nearly giving me a mini heart attack in the process. After my run-in with near death the faint sound of footsteps could be heard coming up the wooden steps. It must be his friend, I hope hes nice. The door was slowly pulled open and in walked a boy who looked to be slightly taller then me. I didn't get a chance to see his face though, considering he fell flat on it with the first step he took into the room.
I'll admit it looked really funny, but I held my tongue for two reasons. One being I didn't know him enough to laugh at him, and two being how it looked like it hurt. I stood silent and watched the boy who still laid where he had fallen, face against a typical messy teenagers floor while Matt looked like he was convulsing. With shaking arms and an audibly deep intake of breath he got off from the floor. I found myself unable to pry my eyes away from his face, a face hidden beneath thick fringe that had me at the edge of my seat in curiosity. He sat down next to Matt, a good three feet away, thismade me a little upset..did he not want to sit by me? Was I that repulsive? The mystery boy tilted his head in my direction just enough so that I could make out his features, he was cute, like really cute. His soft to the touching- porcelain doll looking skin reminded me of that of a child . His eyes were cast down and hidden from view, his hands folded neatly in his lap. The fascination I had for this kid was indescribable, it was this desire that pushed me to make the quick decision to move closer.
He realized this- it would be nearly impossible to not notice, he looked up at me, finally giving me the full advantage to look over his face, I drank his features like a fine wine that quenched a thirst like no other. My eyes found his and...wow, the moment they met I was lost. His eyes were like deep pools of melted chocolate, there were no words I could ever hope to form into one proper sentence that could even begin to tell exactly what I saw and felt.
I felt my face flush, oh god..I was staring..we were staring... at each other.
His face got equally as red as mine and he looked away. My chest ached as I watched him look at anything in the room other then me. Maybe I really was ugly, or maybe all that staring weirded him out and now he thinks I'm some kind of freak.I mentally groaned at my foolish actions, only I, Jack Bassam Barakat would stare. As much as I tried to keep the disappointment and self loathing from reaching the surface I couldn't suppress the frown that told my emotions to the world..
''I'm sorry." I started in a voice so frail and small I was suprised he had even heard me. He perked up a bit at the sound.
"What for?''
" You know..for the, uh staring. I didn't mean to freak you out or anything. You don't even have to talk to me or anything really." Great..I just word vomited.
There was a long- borderline awkward silence that had settled around us. I had only then noticed Matts absence. We were alone..I shooed away the dirty thoughts that threatened to make my mind home sweet home. The last thing I needed to make this situation any better was my little jack poking fun through the material of my skinny jeans.
