This is a story about a girl, who couldn't stop saying "sorry". She would say something even slightly funny and immediately apologize afterward, she trained herself to keep quiet, she fell in love, and then fell. She never explained why she was sorry. "I'm truly sorry, please forgive me" were the last words I heard from her. Before it happened. It happened.
"I'm sorry I'm late" the girl, Tiffany, said in a sweet voice, yet a half-way monotone look was always plastered to her face. "It's alright, we haven't started yet." the tall, strong, deep looking boy, Conner, whispered in a gentle voice. "Wonderful, thank you." Tiffany cracked a smile and Conner passed it back. "They have been flirting for weeks. I'm stopping it now!" Madison shouted at her friends as she walked over to Conner and firmly pressed her lips on his. He tottered back in shock, chair tippibg over, "What on earth was that Madison?" the words spewed from his mouth like lava, a faint gasp spat from the lips of Tiffany, who obviously had a crush, as Conner passed her.
"I'm sorry" Tiffany muttered, wide eyed and left the chair. "Why are you so sorry all of the time it's so annoying! Just stop!" Madison shouted a little too intense for an eight AM seminar. "It's just... I.. I don't..." Tiffany stuttered. "Whatever I don't care," Madison leaned into Tiffany's ear, "He doesn't like you, you know. He's just being nice." she hissed. "He obviously isn't to fond of you either" Tiffany retorted with a smirk, the first time she has retaliated in years. "Ooohhhh the little sorry baby finally stood up for herself." a boy said in mocking awe.
"Stop it, you're just being pathetic, and 'baby', that's all you could come up with?" Conner spoke, wiping his lips again, over and over. "Hey, Madds, you're sure he doesn't have the feels for her?" the boy yelled. Madison let out a frustrated groan as their professor spoke loudly, "That will be enough bickering for you listen up." he said strictly "Today and for the next few weeks we will be discussing how chemicals react to other chemicals" Tiffany raised her hand shyly "Umm Professor, I think you might have forgot, this is Communication Studies, not Chemistry." Tiffany said, just loud enough to be heard. "Yes, Tiffany, and I will explain once we get there" He spoke softly, almost too soft. "Yes sir, I'm sorry." she said quickly. Madison let out, yet another, groan.
They went over a few of the rules, you'd need a partner, that's all they got to before class was over, "Wait, partners, this will only take a moment of your time." Most of the class groaned at this, "Jane and Emmaly, Therese and Daniel, Madison and Christine, Tyler and Sydney, Valerie and Damien, Lexy and Landon, Tiffany and Conner, Shyanne and Candi. You don't know the rules yet I'll explain tomorrow, talk to your partner, don't, it doesn't involve me. Class dismissed." As they were leaving Conner dropped a few of his notebooks and stopped to pick them up as he leaned down Madison kissed him, more intense this time, but she didn't seem to enjoy it, she almost hated it more than Conner, "See you later babe" she said loudly, so Tiffany heard. Tiffany sighed, and Conner had a look on his face that spoke Get away, I don't want you, that was gross. Tiffany grabbed some of his books and handed them to him. They left the building, all headed towards their own dormitories. I- Tiffany heard her name, faintly, but ignored it.
