In The Full Moon's Glow

Chapter 4

                               ♧♧♧♧THE SIGN♧♧♧♧

I woke up some minutes later only to find my mum's  and dad's anxious faces watching me worriedly like I was dying.

I got up cautiously and looked around me and discovered that I was back in my room on my own bed. My dad must have carried me back to my room when I passed out.

That's when it all dawned on me,  the woods.....I felt it drawing me to it since the first day we moved here, must have felt my presence. My mum and dad's strange body features,  the werewolf talk with my dad,  the black out............must have been from shock.

That's when I realized.....they've been keeping this from me all my life. 

My insides started to get warm,  my face started to burn... I was getting really angry.....tears of anger dropped from my eyes drop by drop....

Then I couldn't hold it in nomore....the anger came rushing through me like a volcano about to erupt. ...

"I hate you", "I hate you both",  "you both are just liars" , I burst out.... I got up, rushed past them. Ignoring their frantic    calls for me to come back.

I run out the house....kept running....straight to the edge of the dark woods....then I ran inside. ..ignoring the cries of my parents...

The half moon was already out but wasn't helping out much,  the woods was almost as dark as coal..... I  was mad, upset, angry and felt betrayed by my parents for keeping a huge part of my life a secret from me.....

I was also really scared,  the woods were really dark I saw nothing but eyes, heard nothing but birds, growls,  howls and scurrying of animal feet around me.

That's was when I heard the sounds,  of paws....coming closer in my direction,  I got up, stopped crying,  trying to keep silent, I could see nothing.  

That was when I saw them. ..the eyes. ..about a dozen surrounding me....my heart started beating abnormally out of fright..

Then slowly the eyes gave way and the full forms came into view. I almost blacked out,  because here right before me where wolves about six of them....  I screamed..

They started coming closer. ..and closer...

Then one pounced. ...I closed my eyes and waited for it to tear me to pieces,  I waited......but nothing happened. ...

Then I opened my eyes and there standing right between me and those wolves were two strange looking wolves bigger than the normal wolves I saw....

But something  seemed familiar....a couple of green and grey eyes staring right at me and also watching the other six wolves..... "mum?", "Dad?" . they both gave a couple of menacing snarls at the other wolves and they went scurrying off...... In a minute my parents were both their normal selves again and we made a run for our lives out of the woods in a flash.....

My parents were quiet once we reached home refusing to say nothing. I felt guilty...

"Mom, dad I'm sorry I ran off like that". I said without looking at them.  "What were you thinking Daren?"  Asked my dad. "You could have been hurt".

With that they both left leaving me standing in the hallway alone.

That night.....,  I felt really restless and itchy. .....I stood up, touched myself and felt that I was hairier than normal,...l stood up and looked in the mirror and saw  much hair all over my body.

I.......screamed........."daddddddd!!!"
