Once Upon a Broken Heart

(sorry for the delay college, searching for a job, writers block but today we get two chapers! because writers block flees when I am procratinating it seems...)

(Name) listened in surprise, she was shocked that someone like the young captain had gone through all of that. But she had to ask, because Oliver himself, had didn't seem to trust the men. "how do you know all of this?" she asked and crossed her arms as the men chuckled. One of the older crew smiled "well you see the Capt'n cannot hold liquor well, and when he gets drunk her rambles and rambles about his past... most of us older crew know all this because years ago the poor boy was head over heels for a lass just like him, frozen in time, not aging... but there was something off about her, she was distant, nervous, mistrustful and extremely clingy... the Capt'n would visit her every month spoiled the girl rotten, turns out they had been close since childhood... But then over time, his brother kept telling him the girl was using him for information... the Capt'n then fully saw how the girl acted, angrily he broke ties and left her crying at the pier of Port Royal... now you are probably wondering why am I telling you this eh?" the man asked earning a nod from (name), "simple because he drank constantly after, he was so heartbroken and felt so betrayed he wanted to be numb... we tease him but he took a few male lovers maybe to see if they would be able to heal his heart... but it kept being rebroken... betrayal after betrayal the poor lad now has difficulty trusting even more... so lass please for all our sake... Don't be another one to hurt him..." the man noticed the shocked look on (name)'s face and chuckled "we all found out the moment the other crew referred to you as a whore... we all know you aren't so don't worry about any passes from us"

"you all still call me (favorite boy's name) though... if you knew why didn't you try to find out my real name?" (name) replied causing a few men to laugh.

"simple because a few times the captain has called you '(name)' so we assume that is your real name!" a younger crew member smiled, and grinned even more at the defeated nod the young woman responded with.

Soon it was eight at night and the crew headed to their sleeping quarters while (name) went up to the rails and leaned on them to think over everything she learned. It was quite the load, the fact the crew did know Oliver didn't age was obvious but also that he was tormented in the past, the story behind the clicking of his jaw, and just why he was so mistrustful. Not only that but it explained a bit more about the mysterious ex that Oliver dismissively mentioned. That was something that she honestly was curious about. Had he truly been upset about the split up why did he insult her in such a way? Who exactly was she that she was just like the capt'n in not aging? Her mind kept buzzing with those questions that she decided to go ask from the source about it.
