I know Lexie didn't want to go on the plane, but there was no other way. When we got back to Seattle and Lexie woke up, she was shaking and jumped whenever she heard a noise. It's been an hour, and she's okay now.
Meredith, Cristina, Arizona, Derek, Lexie, and I arrive at the hospital and are greeted by Callie, April, Jackson, Alex, Owen, and Teddy.
Callie, holding Sophia, rushes over to Arizona, then she comes over to me.
"Mark, I'm so glad you're okay, I was so worried about you!" she yells and throws her arms around me. She sets Sophia on my lap and puts her hand on my shoulder.
"I've missed you," she said.
"Me too," I say and smile. I have never been happier, surrounded by the love of my life, my best friends, and my daughter.
I play with Sophia for a few minutes before Callie clears her throat. I look up and see another person walking up to me. I've been dreading this moment. I hand Sophia to Callie and they walk away.
"Mark!" Julia yells and hugs me. "I was so worried, I've missed you so much!"
"Uh, Julia-"
"I love you so much Mark!"
"I love Lexie," I say, looking over at Lexie. She's talking to April, and April is crying and hugging Lexie. I smile. Lexie used to complain to me about April all the time, but I guess they're starting to get along. I bring my focus back to Julia.
"What?" she asks. "Lexie?"
"Yeah. I'm so sorry Julia you're amazing but-"
"I don't want to hear it Mark. How could you do this to me?" she asks and walks away. Her shoulders shake, so I know she's crying. I want to say I'm sorry, that I didn't mean to hurt her, but I know it won't help.
April wheels Lexie over to me. "You told Julia?" Lexie asks.
I nod. I guess I look upset because Lexie tells April to bring her closer to me. She grabs my hand.
"I'm really sorry it hurt you to tell her that we're together. I understand if-if you don't want to be together because it's too hard, so-" Lexie says. She's looking down at our hands.
"Lexie, you're the only person I want to be with. I don't care how hard it is, because I know we'll get through it. Yes, it was hard to tell Julia because I cared about her once, but you're the one I care about now. I love you Lexie," I say and kiss her.
She smiles. "I love you too."
"Aww!" April exclaims. "You guys are so cute!"
Lexie and I laugh, and April laughs with us.
Bailey goes up in front of us. "Okay everyone, I need to take Arizona, Derek, Mark, and Lexie to their hospital rooms. Meredith and Cristina, we want to check over your injuries again before we send you home, so follow me. The rest of you, get back to work! You have lives to save!"
