Chapter 1

I wake up to the sound of music. Yellow by Cold play to be exact. I look over my shoulder and grab my phone that was laying next to my alarm clock. I zoom through it and see a new text messege from my best friend Joe. It read..."Hey Sel. Meet me by the snack store". I met Joe when I was 9 years old at the lake. We would always sit and talk at our bench and just look at the water flow from the wind. We still do that. All the time. I look at my alarm clock and its 7:45 am. I get up and rush to my closet. I take a deep breath. And began to search for an outfit.

-At school...

Im on way to the snack store and I see a tall boy with brown hair, an all black t-shirt long to his pockets, jeans sagging a little and are ripped from one knee, he has one hand in his pocket and the other grabbing onto his backpack that was over his shoulders. He looks so shy..Yup! Thats Joe. I walk towards him and I give him a little wave.

-"what took you so long" he said while giving me a little hug, he pulls away and helps me with my books.

-"Sorry I woke up late" I take his schedule and look through it. "Oh cool! We have almost every classe together"

-"Yeah, now you wouldn't have to be such a loner" he chuckled.

-"Yea... Your my only friend" I smiled. "My best friend to be exact"

He puts his arm around me and we make our way to class.

I sit at a corner table and take out a book and begin to read. "wow your such a nerd" I heard from my right ear.

I laughed at his dorkness.

-"So I got invited to a party" Joe said while taking a bite of my ham sand which.

-"Didn't we have a talk about you eating my food?" I snatch my sand which back before he could take another bite. "And who's party where you invited to?" I asked.

I started to walk home after along day of school and I noticed Joe's brother Nick at the park alone. I decided to make my way towards him but I stop myself halfway, Joe and him never got along and I'm scared if Joe sees me with him, he'll flip out. So I made my way back home.

I'm standing alone in the park and I noticed Selena walking towards me. She looks so beautiful as always. But its against the bro code, cant have these thoughts. Even though Joe and I don't get along, in the end he's still my brother and I cant crush on my brother's best friend. She stops herself halfway and walks away. Strange. Did I scare her off ?
