Chapter 13 (The Jemi wedding)

Selena's Pov: So Joe propose to Demi Last week and it was so beautiful. He told me He took her to a fancy dinner, ordered the most elegant foods. Got down on one knee. Looked into her eyes and she said yes. I'm so happy for them both. They deserve to be this happy. I'll be Demi's maid of honor. So I have to prepare everything. I have to get together with the best man and come up with ideas for the wedding. Lucky for me, the best man is Nick... This is going to be fun. I start getting on my car and to starbucks to meet up with Nick we go.. I arrive at starbucks and I could see Nick from the glass window. He still looks so handsome. I open the door and take baby steps inside. I slowly walk towards him. I could hear my heart beating so loud. I take deep breaths. His back facing mine and as I approach him closer, he turns his neck slightly. I slowly take a seat. 

-"Hi" I softly say.

-"Hey, You look great." He replies.

-"Thanks, so do you. You know, for a dad" I said. I can't believe I just said that.

-"Should we get started?" He asks.

-"Of Course." It seems as he's in a rush to leave. Probably back to his baby momma.
-"Has Demi told you any Ideas that she might like?" He asked.

-"Yes. She wants a small, simple wedding. She wants an outdoors wedding."

-"Joe, wants the same. Maybe they are made for each other" He joked.

I chuckled.

-"Remember at the beach, the first time we ever actually spoke to each other. You were reading a very boring book..."

-"And you were sweaty and gross" I jokely interrupt.

-"We sat on the sand and talked like if we were friends since the day we were born...I remember telling myself that if I wanted to become a better person. I needed to change." He looks at me.

-" I never told you this  or you may not know this but... you saved me. I don't know where id be if you never came into my life" He adds.

I stare so deep into his brown eyes. I never seen anything more beautiful.

-" I saw you the other day with Logan."

I immediately become surprised.

-"Im happy that you found the one who could make you happy. I am really happy for you. And im glad that we are friends." he says.

-"Nick.... "

 I could feel my sadness in this place and somehow my heart is beating worse than ever before. I am still in love with this man. I probably always will be. If only he knew how I felt. But I cant have these thoughts anymore. He has a family now. What we had were only teenage dreams. Just dreams. And dreams don't always come true. After our meeting, we said our goodbyes and parted ways. Like strangers. I know he called me a friend but to me he's a stranger. I don't know this Nick.. He has changed into stranger who you have so much history with...Is that even possible?

I rush home and find Logan on the doorsteps. I walk towards him and I knew right away that something was wrong.

(Day of the wedding)

Nick's Pov: I'm sitting in Joe's bed at his hotel room making my best to stay focused but all I could do is think about Selena. She's with logan but I can't help it. I miss her.  Her hair. Her eyes. Her lips. Her amazing smile. Her laugh. I would give anything and everything to hear that laugh again. What am I doing? I can't be having these thoughts anymore. "I have to stop"

-"Stop what?" Joe said.

I can't believe i said that out loud.

-"uhhh...I have to stop ... eating pizza. Its very bad for my health"
