Chapter 2

Elena's P.O.V

Nik and I spent pretty much all day in the waterfall doing stuff that won't be mentioned. "Nik. We need to head back." I say separating from yet another heated kiss. He groans. "But Lena. I don't wanna." Nik moans playfully. I slap him playfully. "Nik it's nearly..." I turn around to check the watch I was previously wearing. "8 p.m." I say shocked. Nik sighs and reluctantly stands up and walks out of the water. I get out after him slowly drying off and getting dressed. Nik does the same. I pick up our swimsuits wrapping them in a towel before taking Nik's towel from him. When he is fully dressed I grab his hand and we vamp speed back to the house together. When we reach the front door, we walk slowly into the house. When we reach the living room I see Bonnie asleep on the couch wrapped in Kol's arms. Hayley and Elijah on another sofa. Bekah and Marcel on the third sofa and Caroline asleep on a chair in the middle of the room. I walk over to Caroline and slap her until she wakes up. She isn't bound anymore so I assume they broke her somehow. Then Stefan walks into the room as Caroline wakes up. "What the bloody hell are you doing here Stefan?" I snarl at him. He backs away slowly towards Caroline. "I'm here for Caroline. I got a call from Bonnie a few hours ago saying they broke her and I could come and fetch her. So back off." He growls the last sentence so Nik growls in response pushing me behind him. "Don't growl at my wife Salvatore. Or I swear to god I will end you." Nik snarls at Stefan. At that moment Caroline decides to awaken. I step infront of Nik facing him and Stefan turns to Caroline. "Nik. Come on we can show them out. Like reasonable people and then go to bed. Okay Nik?" I say and when he looks down at me his facial features soften and he nods gently. "Nik? You call him Nik now? The Elena I know wouldn't call Klaus Nik." Caroline says. I turn around to see a look of disdain on her face and an apologetic look on Stefan's. He wasn't going to help us. Great. She's got him wrapped around her little finger. "Oh sorry. Have you got a problem with the fact that I call my husband by a different nickname than I used to?" I say glaring at her coldly. Nik wraps his arms around his waist and lowers his head next to my ear. "Elena love. What happened to being reasonable people?" He asked smirking against my neck. "Screw being reasonable." I say looking Caroline and Stefan in the eyes. "Show yourselves out and don't let the door hit you on the way out. Actually scratch that. Show yourselves out and let the door hit you on the way out." I say before turning on my heel and walking up the stairs. I hear Nik following close behind. I feel sick slightly so I vamp speed to the bathroom before I threw up all over the stairs. What? Threw up? I'm a vampire. Vampires don't get sick. "Elena love. Are you okay?" Nik asks helping me up. "I feel absolutely brilliant." I growl sarcastically at him. He rests his hands on my cheeks. When I nuzzle my head into his hand I catch a glance of his wrist. What the hell? I move my face and grab his arm before aiming the inside towards my face. There's a love heart tattoo there with my name written across it in cursive. I shove his wrist towards him. "What the bloody hell is this? When did you get a tattoo?" I ask whisper shouting so I don't wake up the others. He looks shocked and then joy floods his face. "Give me your wrist Lena." He says wiggling his hand at me. I cautiously give him my wrist. He pushes the sleeve of my left arm up. I gasp when I see it. There is a matching tattoo on my arm except it has Nik's name on it. "What the hell? I never got a tattoo." I say rather confused. "No Lena. You don't get it do you?" Nik says pure joy dancing in his eyes. "Get what?" I ask still confused. "These are mate marks. We can have kids." Nik says happily. I gasp. I just threw up. We had you know and then I've just thrown up. I'm pregnant. "I'm pregnant." I say still in shock. Nik looks shocked too. "Are you sure? How do you know?" Nik asks. "Think about it. We had you know earlier and I just threw up." I say and realisation and then happiness flood his face. "We're going to have a baby." Nik says. I nod numbly. Nik pulls me in for a deep kiss. "Come on this is worth waking them up for. And hopefully Caroline and Stefan are still down there." I say grinning. "I truly have rubbed off on your over these past 910 years haven't I." Nik says grinning also. We run downstairs to see Caroline sitting on the floor on Stefan's lap and the rest of them still sleeping. "Hey! Wake up the lot of you! Nik and I have some news we want to share with you." I yell and get multiple groans of complaint from the room. "Ellie. I love you. But why the bloody hell did you wake us up at 9 at night?" Kol asks still half asleep. "Nik and I have some really important news. And it is way better news than us getting married. And way better than the news of us moving back to New Orleans. And better than the fact that Esther, Mikael and Finn are dead." They all shoot up. "What could be better than that?" Hayley asks from her position next to Elijah. "Nik and I are mates we have the marks to prove it. But the other half is way better than that! Beks you are going to absolutely love this news." I say and I see a look of realisation settle on her face. She tears up. She vamp speeds over to me pulling me in for a huge hug. "You aren't?" She asks tearfully. "I am." I say and she squeals. "You are what Ellie?" Kol asks. "I'm pregnant." I say beaming happily. I hear gasps from all around and glares from Stefan and Caroline. We recieve a chorus of 'I'm so happy for you.' From every one except Stefan and Caroline. I start to feel sick again. I vamp speed upstairs to mine and Nik's bathroom and throw up again. I feel Nik rubbing his hand up and down my back. When I finish I get up to brush my teeth. When I have brushed my teeth I drag myself to the bed and sink into the pillows fully dressed. I feel the bed dip next to me and a pair of familiar arms wrap around my waist. I snuggle into his chest and turn around to bury my face in his chest. "I love you Nik." I say but it is muffled by Nik's chest. He buries his head in my curly hair. "I love you too Lena." He says but what he says is muffled by my hair. I fall asleep thinking about what a perfect little family Nik, Our Child and I would be.
