Chapter 4

Elena's P.O.V.

"Nik. I want to tell someone. Who can we tell?" I ask as we sit in the chair in our room. I am sat on his lap, leaning against his chest, while he reads a book with the arm that I'm not leaning on. "Well. Obviously not Bekah or Marcellus because it would be a horrible mistake to tell Bekah and Marcellus would probably end up telling her as he is incapable of keeping secrets from her. So either Elijah and Hayley or Bonnie and Kol. You pick." He says turning the page of his book with his thumb. I hum whilst I think. "Can we tell all four?" I ask. Klaus looks like he's contemplating it for a minute before he replies. "I don't see why not Love as long as they promise to keep quiet." Klaus says. "Yay. Alright you tell Elijah and Hayley and I'll tell Bonnie and Kol." I smile before pecking his lips and jumping off his lap to go find Bonnie and Kol. I run into Bonnie and Kol's shared room to see them doing unspeakable things. "My eyes. Oh my God." I yell covering my eyes. "Ellie. What the hell are you doing?" Kol asks rather loudly. "Looking for you and Bonnie." I say. I hear them moving around and clothes rustling. "Okay. We're decent." Bonnie says. I slowly open my fingers and move my hand fully away when I see them fully dressed. "What did you want Ellie?" Kol asks as I shut the door. I stand awkwardly in the room while they sit on the bed. "I need to tell you pair something while Beks and Marcellus are out of the house." I say. "El. Sit down. You're making me uncomfortable." Bonnie says. I gape at her. "I'm making you uncomfortable. I just walked in on my brother-in-law and best friend doing the dirty." I say and they shift uncomfortably. "What did you want to tell us Ellie?" Kol asks. "Nik and I are getting married again." I say. They look shocked. "Why?" Bonnie asks. I contemplate the question. "I don't know. I just felt like getting married again. Nik's telling 'Lijah and Hayley right now. In fact he's probably finished but we took longer because of you two doing you know what. Now I've told you and you've asked questions. Am I good to go?" I ask uncomfortably. They nod and I vamp speed back to my room. "Lena Love. You okay?" Nik asks as I walk into our room slightly disturbed. "No." I reply. He walks over to me. "What's wrong Love? Is it the baby?" He asks concerned. "No. No. The baby's fine." I say. "Then what's wrong?" He asks as I sit on the bed. "I walked in on Kol and Bonnie." I say and he looks confused. "You walked in on Kol and Bonnie? Doing wh-. Oh. OH!" Klaus says as a look of realisation spreads across his face. Then he shudders. "Ew." Is my only reply. Klaus laughs and wraps his arm around me. "Yes. Ew indeed Love. Did you at least tell them?" He asks and I nod. "Yeah but I think I should have gone to Elijah and Hayley instead." I say and he shudders. "Not really Love. They weren't in a much better position." Klaus says and we both shudder at the thought. "So where are we having the wedding?" He asks as I rest my head on his chest.  "I don't know. I didn't really think this through." I say and he laughs. "Really? I couldn't tell Love." He says and I shove his shoulder as he sits next to me and stick my tongue out at him. "Very mature Love." He says and I shrug. "Yeah whatever." I reply and he laughs. "Well we could have it here, in the compound." He suggests and I grin. "That's a brilliant idea. Obviously a small ceremony between family and friends so Kol, Bonnie, 'Lijah, Hayley, Bekah, Marcel, Davina, Vincent, Cami and Josh and whoever the last four want to bring." I say and Nik nods. "Yeah okay. Obviously chocolate cake." Nik says. I nod. "I don't know why we let Bekah take charge last time, we're awesome at this." I say and he laughs. "Because we didn't have a choice that time." He laughs and I nod. "Well yeah that might of been part of it." I say. "That and Bekah can be pretty damn scary." I say and Nik laughs. "Well you got that right Love." Nik says and I smile. "We suck at keeping secrets Nik. Kol, Bon, 'Lijah and Hayley already know and we've only just decided to get remarried." I say and he nods with a grin on his face. "Yeah well. Bekah doesn't know so that's the important thing." He says and I nod. "NIKLAUS. ELENA. GET DOWNSTAIRS RIGHT NOW!" Bekah yells from downstairs. I gulp nervously and Nik grabs my hand as we vamp speed downstairs. "Yes dear sister?" Nik asks innocently. "Don't you 'dear sister' me Nik. I can't believe you weren't going to tell me that you're getting remarried." She whines. "More importantly. Who the bloody hell told you?" I ask. "Bonnie and Kol." She says and Nik grabs my waist as I am about to walk upstairs. "BONNIE! KOL! YOU HAVE FIVE SECONDS!" I yell making Nik and Bekah wince. "Enhanced hearing here Love." Nik says and I look up at him. "Sorry Nik." I say as I hear Bonnie and Kol walking down the stairs. Slowly. "Your five seconds is up." I sing making them rush down the stairs as fast as they can. "Guys. We were keeping it a secret. Useless. Both of you." I say and they look down. I grab Nik's hand and drag him upstairs to our room. I let go of his hand and drop onto the bed. Nik sits next to me and wraps an arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer. 10 minutes later there's a knock on our bedroom door. Nik goes to open it and I lay back on the bed sleepily. "Nik let me in." I hear Bekah's voice say from the other side of the door. "Not right now Bekah. I have an extremely stressed and by the looks of it, tired, pregnant wife. Come back in a bit." He says before shutting the door. He joins me on the bed and pulls me close. I try to stay awake but it isn't easy. "Get some sleep Love." Nik says, his hand rubbing my upper arm gently. "I love you." I say, rolling over to bury my face in his clothed chest. "I love you too Love. Now go to sleep." He says and I nod gently before letting myself doze off.

I wake up alone in my bed. "Nik?" I ask confused. I sit up and look around the room to see a sketch pad and pencil on the desk. So he had to have been here not too long ago. I stand up and get dressed in to a pair of black skinny jeans and a white tank top. I walk downstairs barefooted and into the kitchen to see Bekah sitting at the dining room table. "Hey Lena." She say happily. "Hey Beks. Where's Nik?" I ask and she shrugs. "I don't know. Haven't seen him." She says and I frown. "That's weird. He wasn't there when I woke up." I say, that makes Bekah frown. "That's really weird. Let me grab some shoes and a jacket and we can go look for him." She says and I nod. "Yeah." I say and go to grab a pair of converse and an over-sized hoodie from my wardrobe. I vamp speed back downstairs to see Bekah stood by the door waiting for me. "Come on let's go." I say and we walk outside. I try calling his phone but it just goes to voicemail. "Bekah try calling him." I say and she nods. She dials his number but hangs up a few seconds later. "It went straight to voicemail." She says and I start to bounce on the balls of my feet. "Hey hey Lena. I'm sure he's fine." She says and I nod. "Yeah." I say before looking around. I see Bonnie and Kol's shop. "C'mon let's go ask Bonnie and Kol if they've seen him." I say and she nods. We walk over to the shop. "Ellie. Beks. What's up?" Kol asks. "You haven't seen Nik have you?" Bekah asks. "No. Why?" He asks. "He wasn't there this morning but he clearly woke up before me because his sketchpad was on the desk and open." I say and Kol looks surprised. "Bon and I will keep our eye out and tell you if we see him Ellie. I'm sure he's fine." He says and I nod, beginning to bounce on the balls of me feet again. "Lena. Why don't you go back to the house and wait for him?" Bekah suggests. "I can't sit in the house while my husband is missing Beks. Are you nuts?" I ask nervously. "Lena. I'll find him but all this stress isn't good for the baby. Go relax. He might be back home already. If you want check the waterfall on the way there." She says and I nod knowing she's right. "Okay." I say defeated. I walk out of the shop and vamp speed back home. I stop at the waterfall on the way back but he isnt there. I walk upstairs to our room to find it empty. I walk over to his sketchpad to look at what he drew last. It's a blank page. I flip through the sketchpad and all the pages are empty. I pick up my phone and dial Bekah's number. "Have you found anything?" I ask. "No. Not yet. Has he returned?" She asks. "No." I reply getting agitated. "Lena don't worry. We'll find him." She says. "He's never disappeared for this long before Beks." I say as I hear the front door open and close. "Call me back in a minute Beks." I say before hanging up. I walk towards the stairs to see Nik walking into the living room. I call Bekah back. "He just walked through the door." I sigh in relief. "Oh thank God. I'll come back in a bit. Go talk to him." She says before hanging up. I run down the stairs and into the living room. "Where the hell have you been?" I ask and he spins around quickly. "I wasn't gone that long. Why do you look so worried?" He asks. "I woke up to an empty bedroom with no note, no nothing, so excuse me for being worried about you well-being." I say angrily. "I'm sorry Love. I was making sure Stefan and Caroline had left for Mystic Falls." He says walking over to me and placing his hands on my waist. I wrap my arms around his neck and bury my face in his chest. "God I was so worried about you. Never do that again." I mumble into his chest. "What make sure people we don't want here leave the town?" He asks. "No. Don't leave without leaving me a note of any sort." I say pulling away slightly. "I promise." He says pulling me closer. I press a kiss to his lips and the front door swings open as Bekah walks in. "Don't mind me I'm just going upstairs." She says loudly, making Nik and I laugh loudly.

A/N Hey Guys. I'm back. I am so sorry for making you wait so long. I know, I suck. Hopefully the next chapter will be the wedding. I know they haven't officially finished sorting it but I decided that it would just be a small wedding in the Compound, still using the dress from chapter 3. Sorry for not including that in the story but I figured I should get this chapter out since I may not be posting this week because school starts tomorrow and they give us so much homework.
