A High School Love Story

Chapter 1: He had me at "Hey"

I began to make my way over to where he was standing when the teacher, Ms. Cho, walked out of the storage closet in the class and began to introduce herself. I immediately stopped walking and turned around and accidentally bumped into another person who I did not remember passing by.

"Umf " was the sound I made when my body crashed onto the other person.

"I'm so sorry! I'm such a clutz, I didn't mean to-" I was cut off by another voice. An older, much louder voice that was hard to miss.

"Eh em, is there something wrong miss..." It was Ms. Cho. She paused, which indicated that she wanted me to say my name.

"Lopez. Miranda Lopez." I replied to her.

"Well miss Lopez, if you don't mind, I would like to continue." She said, with an attitude. I didn't know teachers could be so sassy.

" Of course, I apologize. " and I did mean it.

"As I was saying, you will be sitting in assigned seats that I will place you in. Listen carefully and sit where I tell you to. No exceptions."

She starts calling random names that she sees on her roster and pointing at seats starting from her end of the class and ending in the opposite corner, where the door was. On the outside I was calm, patient and still, but in my head I was praying to Lord Jesus to let me sit beside Brian.

Ms. Cho had placed the majority of the class in their seats and there were only 6 people left standing, waiting for them to be called on. Then I heard his name.

"Brian Sanchez. You will sit next to Osly." He then slowly made his way to his seat. I was paying so much attention to him that I didn't hear the next name being called. All I heard was "you will sit next to Brian." I turned to my right to ask the person I had bumped into earlier who's name she called.

"She called a girl named Sofia" he said, and as I heard the name, a small part of me wanted to cry.

"Miranda, you're going to sit next to Sofia."

DAMMIT ! I didn't get to sit beside him, but at least I'm still close to him. Sadly, the girl who Ms. Cho had placed next to Brian was one of the girls who had her eye on him when he walked in the room as well so off the bat I knew I wasn't going to get along with her.

As soon as Ms. Cho said that we could have free time to make friends and get to know our peers, she turned to Brian and started flirting.

It was obvious that he was uncomfortable talking to her but I guess he was too nice to say anything to her.

I, on the other hand, used my time wisely and made friends with the guy sitting to my right, he was the boy that I had bumped into. His name was Tristen Pineda and he had the most attractive eyes in the class, or at least that's what I thought. He was a little bit taller than me and he was super kind and funny. If Brian wasn't in the class, I would have probably fallen for Tristen. Brian was better looking but Tristen's personality was beyond compare.

Towards the end of the period, I noticed that Brian got up and talked to the teacher about something. I couldn't hear what he said for two reasons:

1) Everyone else was still talking and laughing and getting to know each other

2) Ms. Cho's desk was on the other side of the room

But if I had to guess what he had discussed with her, I'd say that he asked to move Sofia to another seat because the next thing I know, she moved her to the end of the row and everyone else had to shift one seat to the right. Which meant that Brian was now sitting next to me. Which also meant that I was sitting in between the two hottest guys in class, and possibly the entire LAMHS class of 2015.

I had to be the luckiest girl EVER!

I turned to look at him and he started talking.

"Hey, I'm Brian. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah."

That was literally all I heard. It was all I needed to hear before I absolutely, positively knew that I had fallen for him.

And I had fallen hard.

ok, so I'm just starting the story and there isn't much drama or excitement yet but trust me, theres more coming

i'm starting off with short chapters because I don't even know if people want to read more so please comment what you think ! :D I love all my readers even though there are only like 5 of you LoL
