Dear Diary,
Why do people think I'm going to be a serial killer? I like to read true crime novels so that I can learn about serial killers not become one. I like criminal psychology and understanding the human mind. I don't like people getting murdered and I don't want to kill anyone. (No matter how annoying people can be.) What I like to know is why someone became a killer. What drove them to take another persons life? Thinking about how to prevent the horrible events from happening is what I do. I don't want to sympathize with murders! No one seems to realize that, though. All the comments I get are "You're so morbid.", "You're creepy!", and the stupid looks people give me.People who like crime shows or fictional crime books aren't judged. So why am I being judged for liking to learn about the real thing? Probably because death is a taboo topic in our society and we don't like to be reminded of our mortality. Especially if death comes by unnatural means. It makes people uncomfortable to know that people can do bad things.
*sighs*
Sincerely,
A pacifist.P.S. I like fictional crime shows too! (Hannibal, NCIS, and Criminal Minds are awesome!!!)
