Harry POV

'Harry! Wake. Up!' Hermione yelled as she smacked me over the head with a pillow.

'Ow!' I complained.

'It's a pillow! How did it hurt?'

'The . . . Button hit me,' I muttered.

'Which button was this? The non-existent one? Huh? I thought so. Come on! Breakfast!'

'Hey, there's an owl,' Ginny said as we ate. 'Who's it for?'

'Hey...It's a Hogwarts owl!' George exclaimed. 'Who's it for?' He repeated Ginny's question.

'Oh, it'll be for Ginny. You still have to complete your seventh year!' Mrs Weasley told us.

'Wait. There's more than one!' I realised.

The owls, magnificent tawnies, swept in, and landed on the table.

'They're addressed to us four!' Hermione told me, Ron and Ginny.

'Huh?' Ron was scarfing down pancakes like he'd never eaten before.

'Ronald! Stop eating like that, it's disgusting!' Hermione informed him.

'We've all got Hogwarts letters. Read them!'

Dear Mr Potter/Ms Granger/Mr Weasley,

We are delighted to inform you that you are welcome to return to Hogwarts for your seventh year. Term begins on September 1st.

This year, we have some American exchange students joining us from Ilvermorny Academy of Magic. Treat them with respect.

'Well,' Mr Weasley said. 'Looks like you're going back to Hogwarts!'

Annabeth POV

I popped a strawberry in my mouth. Katie Gardner and I were picking strawberries for the end-of-summer party. It was the first year they were doing it.

'Annie! You're not supposed to eat any!' Katie giggled as she . . . Put one in her mouth.

'Hypocrite!' I muttered.

'They'll never know!' She replied.

Katie was the only one who could call me Annie. Anyone else was basically toast.

'Hey, Annie!' Y'see, this is a perfect example. I turned round to find Leo, and I gave him my biggest and best wolf glare. That got him. He backed up a few paces and coughed.

'Chiron wants you. Big House. Katie too.'

We looked at each other in confusion as Leo ran off.

'Chiron never calls unless it's really important,' I said. 'Well, best not keep everyone waiting. Come on! I'll race you.'
