Jughead's Reason (part one)

Hey guys! I had a really fun time writing my last one shot soooo here's another one!

It was 11:30 pm on a Thursday night. You've been trying to sleep for the a while now but you just can't seem to. Lying down on your bed, you decide to grab your phone. You squint your eyes at the sudden brightness of the screen and text Jughead who's been your best friends for as long you can remember, but you secretly loved that boy to bits. No one knew except for yourself.

Y/N: You up?

Jughead 👑😝: What do you want?

You furrow your eyebrows and feel confused. Jughead seemed grumpier than usual... He's usually very nice and caring.

Y/N: Well someone's grumpy 😒 Anyways, can we talk for a bit? I can't sleep 😕

Jughead 👑😝: Not in the mood. Bye

You feel even more confused when you read the text. 'He always talks to me... especially nights like this, he's always there for me. What could be wrong with him?' you think to yourself.

Y/N: What's up with you? Did I say something?

'No reply huh?' you thought.

Y/N: Jughead?...

Seen at 11:48pm

'Is Jughead okay? What's wrong with him? Did something happen? Is he mad at me? Did I do something? ' You repeated those thought over and over again in your head. 'You know what? I'll just ask Jughead about it tomorrow at school' you thought to yourself and feell asleep quickly after.

(BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!!!) You jolt up at the sound of you alarm at 6:00 am in the morning. You turn off your alarm and stretch your arms. You open your window and look outside at the beautiful morning sky and breathe in the cool morning air. "I feel like today is gonna be a good day", you said to yourself with a smile on your face. You do your usual morning routine. take a shower, brush your teeth, dry your hair and pick an outfit. You put on high-waist jeans and black ankle boots. You reach for a shirt in your messy closet and pull out an over-sized and baggy flannel. You realized it was Jughead's, you loved wearing his clothes but you put it back in your closet because you didn't feel like wearing it today, instead you take a black v-neck shirt.

You head downstairs kiss your parents good morning and ate breakfast. You grab a bowl and put in some of your favorite cereal and pore in milk. You finish your breakfast and you say "Mom, Dad, I'm going to school now." "Alright honey! Have fun" your Mom said. "Be safe." your Dad said after. You walk out of your house and head to school. You only live a few block away from school so walking wasn't a problem. You tried to have a relaxing walk but all you could think about was Jughead and what you would say when you see him at school.

You arrive at your school 10 minutes early. You purposely went to school earlier so you had enough time to talk to Jughead before class. You walk around the halls looking for him but there was no sight of him. You walked to the student lounge where your friends Betty and Veronica were sitting and chatting. You walk over to them and ask "Hey guys. Have you seen Jughead?" Veronica and Betty shook their head and Betty said "No we haven't. Sorry." "It's okay. Do you have any idea where he could be?" you asked. They did the same this time raising their shoulders and dropping them. "Okay thanks." you said. You waved at them and walked briskly to the exit of the student lounge. It was time for class, you sighed disappointed that you weren't able to talk to Jughead before class.

*Fast forward to lunch break*

The bell rang and so you headed out to lunch. You bought food and looked for your friends but then you remembered that you had to talk to Jughead. You looked around and saw the raven haired boy with a familiar beanie sitting against a tree and spacing out, it was Jughead for sure. You walk over to him and sit beside him. He completely ignores you as if you didn't exist. "Found you Juggie" you said. He doesn't reply. "Juggie?... Is there something wrong?." you said. No reply once again. You look up at his head and take his beanie thinking that he would notice you since he hates it when I do that, but he didn't. That confused you... it really confused you... you held his hand and said "Jughead talk to me. Earth to Juggie?" no reply from him. You shake him by his shoulders "Jugheeeaaad don't ignore meeeeee" you said playfully. Same response from him, you stared at him and kissed him on the cheek. You blushed a crimson read but he had NO REACTION! You shook him again " JUGHEAD! TALK TO M-" "GODAMMIT Y/N! COULD YOU BUG-OFF?!" he interrupted with great annoyance in his tone and an angry expression on his face. You were speechless, you blushed even more but out of embarrassment this time. Tears rolled down your face, you dropped your lunch tray on his lap and stood up with your backpack on your shoulders "JERK!" you yelled at him while crying. He snapped out of some weird trance as you started running away "Y/N wait! I'm sorry! Let me explain!" he caught up to you and grabbed your arm "Let me explain Y/N..." you turned to face him, his eyes widened when he saw your face red and tears falling down. You tugged your arm causing him to let go.

You ran to a restroom and stayed there until you were calm. The bell rang and you went to class. You forgot that you had to sit next to Jughead in that class. You saw him and he was staring at you. You took a seat beside cause it was the only one left. "Y/N I'm so sorry. Let me explain." he said with a very apologetic tone in his voice and a sad face with furrowed eyebrows. I ignored him and I did for the rest of that day. You went home and buried your face in in your pillow. You could hear your phone buzzing and buzzing knowing that it was countless text from Jughead. He kept calling and you couldn't take it anymore so you answered the call. "What do you want douchebag?" you said with a stern and angry tone in your voice. "I need to explain Y/N" he replied. "You have 1 minute before I hang up." you replied. "Okay so here's my explanation....."
