Zack's P.O.V
"Zack he will be here in about 30 minutes"Mom told me, a look of hope carved into her face as she told me the news. After trying to figure out how to trace it, we decided it was best the get the other half of the operation to help us and so a phone call was made and in about 30 minutes a 8 year old will help us find Zaira. Chase who was very mad when we woke him up, quickly changed his attitude when we told him why and he was more than eager to come to the pack house and help us figure out how to trace Zaira's necklace to her bracelet.
"I suggest you get some rest while we wait. Sam and Max are taking a nap and your dad is waiting for Chase downstairs, you haven't slept in forever and if you want to help you better go and sleep now"my mom spoke to me firmly and the look on her face told me that no arguments were applicable, so sighing I stood up from my chair and slowly made my way to my room.
My room looked absolutely deserted and the worst part of it all was that her smell still lingered in the air. Sighing loudly I shuffled over to thr bed and finally let sleep overcome my exhausted body. As the nightmares of the night it all went wrong full my dreams.
"Zack, Zack honey wake up" a voice drifted into my ears, stirring my mind awake. I felt my eyes fluttering open and I was met with Mom's face, she smiled down at my sleepy expressions and continued speaking "we figured out where Zaira and probably Grace is" I jumped out of the bed quicker than the Flash and rushed out the room to my study. Mom's silent calling fading away as I stepped into my study and saw Dad, Sam and Chase sitting with large smiles on their face as they worked on my computer.
"So is it true?"their heads whipped up at the sound of my voice, Sam stood up from her chair and carefully made her way to me, she took my shoulder in her hands and look me directly in the eye."We are gonna bring them back"she smiled softly at me and I felt my body finally relax as I took in her words.
They are going to be okeyy, I thought.
"Wait a minute"I said loudly while looking each of them in the eye"why didn't any of you call me when Chase arrived" They looked at each other and back at me, no one dared reply my words until a voice behind my back caught my attention.
"You needed to sleep and so I let you rest while we figured out how to get them"
"Them, as in my twin sister who I only met now and my fricken mate.I wanted to help find them, I didn't stay awake for the past few days to miss out on this. Why didn't you just wake me, sleep isn't necessary anymore. We need the troops now!" I wanted to turn around, but I couldn't.
"You may be Alpha now Zack, but I am still your mother and I therefore know what is best for you and what is not. I decided that you needed the rest so don't come and throw a tantrum here and think you are the best of the best suddenly. Now go and get the troops ready"I have never seen my mother so irritated and it scared me a little to be honest. I hung my head low out of embarrassment and walked out the door.
All troops meet me outside in 5 minutes
There were a chorus of 'Okay's' through the mind link as I quickly jogged downstairs to meet the rest of the pack. Everyone was waiting for me outside and I was so proud to call these people my pack.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, you all might know my dear twin sister and your future Luna has been kidnapped by a rogue named Richard."a few people mumbled in the crowd, but I quickly silenced them"now I know this is a tragic experience for you as well as me, but I would like to inform you all that we have found the location of my sister and your future Luna, but I will need your help to retrieve them. I therefore ask that any volunteers who are willing to join forces with put neighbouring pack and find them please meet my, at the photo tree, after this speech. You will not be forced to join and remember if you don't. No one will hold it against you, I understand that this is a very big risk to take and I cannot guarantee your return. Thank you to you all for showing and I will meet the volunteers at that tree shortly" I turned around and made my way to the tree, hearing a few footsteps following me made my heart swell with pride. I slowly turned around and saw only the pack members with small children had turned around and I was left with the toughest and fittest of them all.
"I thank you dearly for agreeing to join this rescue, we will be leaving tomorrow morning and I know you all have already been taught in combat and you will be able to defend yourself if necessary. I will inform you of their location soon and then you must make sure you have every skill under control before tomorrow morning."They all nodded in agreement and went their own way shortly afterwards leaving me behind with my second and third in command.
"So you finally got her"I only nodded and walked away, clearly not in the mood to make conversation with them at the moment and quickly rushed upstairs to get the precise location from Sam.
"So what's the exactly location"I asked walking into the study smirking, Sam looked up from the computer and greeted me with a small smile."Oh and the troops are ready to go" I said quickly before anyone could reply.
The whole room went quiet as they slowly looked in my direction"Umm well see the thing is"Sam muttered softly
"Spit it out Sam"
"It's in a clearing near our rival pack. Richard must have known"
"Dammit!"I yelled punching the wall loudly"I already told the troops we are leaving tomorrow, we can't leave tomorrow and fight near the pack that hates us so much they would start a frikken school club about it."Chase chuckled at my remark, but after receiving a steady glare from my direction he stopped abruptly and looked down at his lap. He was sitting on the couch playing with Zaira's necklace in his hands.
"You guys can go get some rest, I will figure it out"they all just stared blabkly back at me and I knew they were refusing to move"I said leave!" Mom turned around sighing and they all walked out without another word, all except one.
"We are in this together, always"she stood up smiling and gave me a hug, taking me by surprise a bit Sam has never been the hugging type and nor has she ever been the whole touchy feely type either. Either she really wants to calm me or that mate of hers is changing my best friend.
"Always"I mumbled softly as she pulled out of the hug and shuffled back to the computer. She was typing furiously and I was very curious why so I walked around the table and stood behind her. She was busy typing some sort of email to someone and it definitely was very very long.
Dear Mister Gunter
I am truly sorry for bothering you about this tragic situation, but this is a very serious matter which I know you will understand and take into consideration. A few days ago our Luna and Alpha's sister was taken as hostages by non other than the most wanted rogue Richard. He is planning on destroying us all and receive so much power that he can possibly take over the entire world.
Therefore I regret to inform you that his base is located in a clearing near your territory and I would like to receive permission to approach this clearing and get our people back. I know we have had our differences in the past, but I really ask that you take us into consideration and think how you would feel if placed in our shoes. We ate planning to leave tomorrow morning and ask that you please answer us as soon as possible.
