It was Lexi who screamed first. By then, it was night time. We all sprinted into the woods, and when we got there we just sat there for about a minute, gasping for air. My heart stopped, when we heard the crunch of leaves under the unknown shoes. "You do know, I could out run any of you, any day of the week, right?" Said the unknown boy. "Wait a minute... Who are you?" Taylor asked. He laughed and right before disappearing into the night he said, "If you really must know, I am known as the White Shadow. It was a pleasure to meet you, but I am sorry to say, I can't stay. I hope our paths cross again soon." and then, he was gone. We stood there, with our jaws dropped, until Abby said, "Come on guys, we can't stand here all night." so we continued darting towards Lexi's house. After we finally got to Lexi's house, we hastened down to the basement and locked the iron door behind us. Lexi started bandaging her pale arm, and after about 30 seconds, Maria asked, "Who's on watch tonight?" "I am." Lexi uttered. "Oh, do you want me to-" I started. "No, I'm fine." she said. We all laid down in our sleeping bags, and fell asleep.
