As I lay waiting, the rain corrodes away my skin.

The dark sky reminds me of a dream.

The inky outlines of the dead trees surround me like a memory.

The prickly grass pokes at my bare arms and back.

It tickles at my ears.

My breath is so slow; I could be mistaken for dead.

Then there is a noise.

It's so sudden that bird's flap away terrified.

I can hear small animals scurry away in fear.

That noise is from me.

It's my screams.

Tears are suddenly rushing down my cheeks.

It feels as if the world is crashing down around me.

What's left of y body is aching.

The only thing left on my mind is agony.

After what feels like a century of tears and pain, they stop.

I want to continue to scream, but all energy is gone.

The rain is pounding down harder than ever now.

The drops are like freezing pebbles

Smashing down on my body.

The grass is now knives stabbing at my skin.

I can't breathe.

My heart is going so fast that it'll probably explode.

Slowly, everything fades.

There is nothing left in my body.
No energy.

No emotion.

Nothing.

My eyes slowly close

and I'm gone...
