" Laila! " Aubrey's eyes widened. He was surprised. He hasn't seen this woman in 3 years, and now she's in his view again. " Aubrey. Nice to see you. Call me LaLa though. " She smiled sitting down. Maya silently closed the door, and left the two alone. They both just stared at each other for awhile. " What? " Lala smiled. Aubrey chuckled, " Nothing. I just can't believe it's you.... "
She smiled again, that was the one thing Aubrey loved about her, that smile. " Well um, Let's get to business. You wanna be my assistant? " Aubrey asked.
" Yeah...." She said simply, " I didn't know you were gonna be my boss, I didn't even know you got the company going. I remember how much you used to talk about it, and you wanted it to be your dream, and you did it! "
" Yeah I did. " He said proudly, "Anyways why do you want the job? "
" I need the money" She pleaded. That was one thing she always loved.
" Um.... But like...... Rena told me you were a stripper? " Aubrey turned red.
" Who's Rena?" Lala tilted her head to the side.
" Oh sorry that's my sister 'n' law "
" In law? You're married now? " Lala eyed his ring finger.
Aubrey nodded his head with a soft smile. " Her name is Robyn.. "
Lala chuckled slightly, She wasn't expecting this at all. She looked at his desk, " This must be her " Lala said referring to the picture.

" Yeah, That's Robyn " Aubrey heart-eyed the picture they took at a party.
" But yeah I'm a stripper. My nighttime job. You know LaLa loves her MooLah" She broke the relationship talk.
Well she hasn't changed a bit Aubrey thought, " Oh I mean, I do need an assistant so I'll go ahead and hire you. All you need to do is let me know important calls, sort things out for me, and let me know other important information okay? " Aubrey said calmly.
Lala nodded, and sat there quietly for a moment. "You know Aubs.. My mom misses you so much! I want to know if you would meet us at dinner Saturday night. Robyn could tag along too as well I guess. " Throughout dating Lala, Aubrey had a great relationship with her mother, but of course once they broke up, they lost contact completely.
" I'll check with my wife, Thank You " Aubrey said. Aubrey showed Lala around the building, introduced her into co-workers, and showed her to her desk right outside Aubrey's office. The day lead on, and eventually came to an end. Once Aubrey got home he heard his wife throwing papers around in her office. " So fucking ugly! " She growled. Aubrey entered her office and crumbled papers were everywhere. She was working in her design book. " No! No! No! " Robyn ripped the sheet off the book and put her head down.
" Bae what's the issue " Aubrey put his hands on her shoulders sending her a relief.
" I'm working on my new shoe. I wanna call it the creeper. " She said showing him a decent design.
" That looks dope baby, What's up with all this paper? " He asked.
" It's not dope! It's ugly. I don't know if I can do this... I need to find a 9-5, My designing sucks ass. " She put her head down again. Aubrey absolutely hated when Robyn talked down on herself. Negativity was never an option. " Babe look at me. " He lifted her chin so her emerald green eyes could meet with his brown ones. " Never. And I mean never, give up on your dreams. Because through them your soul shines. You can do anything you put your mind too, just stay committed no matter how tough it gets. Fuck the challenges babe. I know you got this, You have a gift and I know it will pay off someday outside of Toronto. Okay? Now don't talk negative, Your too beautiful for that shit " Aubrey pulled Robyn in for a hug, Of course she hugged back. Aubrey had the best advice that kept her going. " Thank You Baby. I love you " Robyn smiled.
" I love you too. " Aubrey said back.
" So. How was your day? "
" Well. Rachel quit. So they gave me a new assistant... "
" Oh. How is she? "
" It's Lala... "
" What?! " Robyn exclaimed. She hated the living shit out of Laila " Lala " Maria Anthony. She broke her husbands heart, and sometimes Aubrey would miss her, which would get Robyn sad. Now Robyn was scared, anxious, and let alone nervous. What if she took Aubrey away from her!
" I know. I know. I know. It was unexpected trust me, but it's just business now. Don't worry. " Aubrey assured, he wouldn't do that to his baby girl, he loved her so much and got attached to her, he doesn't need Lala anymore. " But Lala did invite us to have dinner with her and her mom. You down? " Aubrey asked.
Robyn thought it over, she did want to meet the girl Aubrey spent his life with for 5 years. And she wanted to cuss her out for breaking his heart, " Yeah I'm down.
