Imagine, over time the rest of the avengers has accepted Bucky and let him become a team member. Also, Steve and Bucky has been finding it harder to keep the other from knowing how they really feel, how they each want more then a friendship but will never say. Because how do they tell the other that they love them, that they want to kiss them, that they want to hold the other tight and never let go. They try day after day to keep this from the other but its getting almost impossible and it's does not help they live in the same apartment in the Avengers Tower. One morning the whole team gets orders to go clear a hydra base, Steve does not want to tell Bucky what the mission was because he does not want him to go. "Buck, I don't think you should go" said Steve, "Steve, why do you not want me to go" Bucky asked. "It does not matter I just don't think you should go" Steve said, "If it will make you happy I will stay" Bucky said raising his voice a little. Bucky started to walk out of the room when he felt Steve grab his hand and pull his close to his face, "Yes it does make me happy, Thank you" Steve said looking into Bucky eyes. Steve didn't want to let go of Bucky hand, he wanted to bring him close and kiss him but he did not want to ruin there friendship. Steve let go of Bucky hand and both walked away in different directions.
A few minutes Steve leave for the mission and doesn't say a word to Bucky before he goes. Bucky did not want to say anything to Steve but he knew where Steve was going on the mission, that's why he agreed to stay. Hours pass and Steve is still gone on the mission, Bucky starts to worry till he gets a text from Natasha *Come down to headquarters now* The the text reads, Bucky goes down the elevator think everyone is Back from the mission. The elevator door opens, Bucky looks around for Steve and does not see him. "Where is Steve?" Bucky asked, no one spoke till Tony did, "Barnes this is hard to say but Steve is dead" Tony said in a sad tone. Bucky stood there for a few seconds trying to get thought his mind what Tony said "YOUR LYING" Bucky said picking Tony up by the neck and pushing him up against the wall, "It's true Bucky, let him go" Natasha said trying to pull Bucky hand off of Tony. Bucky let go of Tony, punched a hole in the wall and storm out of the room. When he got back to his room he shut the door walked a few feet and collapse to his knees, all that was going thought his head was that his best friend, the one he loves the most, the reason he is still here today was gone and he never got to say the one thing he wanted to the most, I Love You......
