The room's air was filled with the musty smell of vomit and sweat. The floor that was littered with cups and bottles held a cluster of dancing people on it. The bass of the music effectively drowned every other noise in the house. It was a typical Rory Sandburg's party in full swing.

An explicit ecstasy surrounded the ebony haired girl whose veins were filled with heroin. Hands intertwined with a certain brown haired boy, she had lost all her senses to bliss. She felt calm; finally, everything was falling back to how it always was. Her best friend was back, and they were doing their usual party. Her arm riddled with punctured holes was an indication that she was high enough to tolerate everything to anything.

Rory gazed at the boy beside her, absently tracing her finger along his jaw. He was attractive –with his skin in a beautiful shade of golden and eyes in steely shades of grey. However, that didn't stop the shudder of disgust that went through her body each time she saw him. That didn't stop the way her body coiled in repulsion each time he touched her. That didn't stop the way she cringed each time he said her name.

Yet, it also didn't stop me from going back to him.

However, Rory Sandsburg couldn't dwell more on her thoughts for she had spotted a very familiar mop of white hair in the crowd. It was the very same guy with whom she had a history of running away from; the very same guy who had declared his affections for her yesterday – Sebastian King. And unlike what every sober and sane girl would do, Rory Sandsburg did what every drunk and insane girl would have done and rushed towards the boy who was now staring at her.

"Pretty Boy!" the girl quickly jumped to hug the boy, her inhibitions now forgetting their protests – one of the pleasant effects of heroin.

"Rory?" The boy was confused with the sudden display of affection, after all wasn't she the girl who had told him that he should stay away from her yesterday. Not that he had listened to that, because he was standing in her flat, partly to complain about the loud music and partly because he needed to understand what she had meant the previous night.

However, his inner monologue was broken when a deep, husky voice in a mannerism similar to that of the girl in front of him exclaimed:

"Sebastian King!"

Erupting from thin air came toppling towards the duo was Zeke Parsons, an intimate family friend of the King's and an equally worthy enemy of the Sandsburgs's, yet invoking the same expression from both individuals – a grimace. Abruptly, with the grace of someone who just had a glass of cold water splashed upon them, the boy jumped back from the girl, who still continued to tug onto him in her drugged haze.

"Zeke? What are you doing here? Weren't you supposed to go meet –"

"But, then Roars here was having one of her classic party, so change of plans," the brown haired boy cut him in the middle; his expression resembling that of a flustered man with his eyes wide open and voice stammering in contrary to his usual impassive face. However, Sebastian didn't relish it. He was stuck on the way the boy had called her Roars – a name, which she had prohibited him. He noticed the way Zeke tugged on the girl's hand drawing her closer to him. He silently took in the way Rory Sandsburg acquiesced to them; took in the sharp pain that went through him.

"Do you both know each other?" his voice strained as he brought himself back to the conversation.

"Yeah," the boy in front of him nodded, before kissing the girl's cheek, "Rory and I have been dating for some while now." The boy flashed a cheeky grin at him before entwining his hand with hers, "I told you about her, didn't I?" a devilish smirk covered his face as if trying to convey a rogue secret. Sebastian gasped.

Horror filled him as he reiterated the words to himself.

The girl he had been telling about – SpongeBob? But, then that would mean –

"She's the girl!?" A shriek was heard. The boy dimly realized it was his own voice, yet at the same tie it wasn't he who was shouting. It wasn't he who was wildly gazing between the self-pronounced couple in front of him, hoping for them to shout out that it was a lie. Sebastian King, himself, was just a mere outsider looking at the spectacle unfolding in front of him.

"Yes, Pretty Boy. Didn't I tell you about him?" the girl laughed nervously. Her finger twirling a strand of hair, she glanced away from the boy blocking her entrance. She knew what she had said was blatant lie – she had never as much as whispered about her boyfriend. However, in her drugged haze the girl grappled at the obvious lie in the way a drowning person did to a life jacket.

Pretty Boy can't know.

"As a matter of fact, no," the boy stared at the sheepish girl. Noticing how she would slightly twitch each time Zeke would pull or tug at her. Noticing the way she wouldn't meet his eyes as if she was scared that in their one eye contact all her secrets would be unraveled.

"You don't pay enough attention to me, not my fault."

"You're all I pay attention to," a flirtatious smile slipped on his face.

The girl fumbled for words; her hands sprung to her warm cheeks hoping to cover the red tint that coated them. She hated the way how he could just do that to her, but she truly abhorred how she let him do that to her.

"Ey, man. Cut it out," a much welcome interruption from Zeke was heard.

"Yes, cut it out, Pretty Boy," the girl added with defiant nod, her head now lying across her boyfriend's shoulder, wishing this would deter his further queries – would help to finally drive him out of her toxic life.

"Someone's feisty," the boy chuckled. Already aware of why she was doing what she was, the boy slipped away.

Rory Sandsburg looked at the retreating figure with trepidation;

For the anxiety that her secrets were soon to be     u     n     c    o    v    e     r     e d by Sebastian King's scandalizing ways had her on her toes.
