// thanks for the views! I really mean it, your reading and support really helps me. Thank you for taking your time to read my story, it means a lot to me. I wouldn't be doing this without you ❤
Also, to all those writers out there, I have a quote that really helps me out while I'm writing.Btw, there will be bullying and insults in this. Also mentioning of gay people. I don't know if that's a warning, I'm just letting you know ahead of time.
"Write like nobody else is reading" I find it very calming and inspirational. Its sort of like "dance like no ones watching" //
Today Mr.Kabs went out on a business trip, so he left Trace and I in charge.
We're so excited! We finally get to do things our way.
"Let's go in early so we can decorate the place!" Trace excitedly speaks over the phone.
"Yeah! We should go shopping right now, before the stores close." I grin as I quickly jump out of bed and run over to the living room so I could gather my things.
"Yes!" I could hear Trace stomping around his house.
"I'll meet you outside." I hang up the phone and put it down so I could pick up my wallet and put on my f/c hoodie.I make it outside and immediately spot Trace exiting his house, "Hey!" I wave over to him.
He spotted me and excitedly waved his hand "Hi!"
We meet up with each other and start walking towards downtown, where all the stores are.
"So, what else are we going to do tomorrow?" Trace spoke as he snuggled underneath his fluffy jacket.
"Hmm," I pucker my lips as I go into thought.
We could get a bunch of balloons and confetti to celebrate our first job at running the place. We could get cake and share it with the costumers. But I don't think we'd have enough money.. Maybe we could bake our own cake. yeah!
"We can bake a cake and share it with the costumers." I turn my head so I could look at him.
"Yeah! We should by sparkles and icing, and a bunch of cake mix!" He grinned as he looked back at me.
We both share a warm smile for a few moments.
"You're so cute." I speak softly.
His face turns red as his eyes widen a bit, quickly turning his head away "Th-thanks."
My smile widens as I look ahead of us."So, what was your childhood like?" I turn my head once his face goes back to its normal shade.
His large blue eyes glanced around as he slid his hands in his pockets "Well.. It wasn't the best." He frowned.
"Oh.." I slightly frown and turn my head away. shoot. I forgot about his experience in school. All the bulling. I'm such an idiot.

FLASHBACK TIME
Trace was playing in the sandbox, alone, making a cute little heart shape with his index finger and adding a smiley face on the inside.
"That's so gay," One of the 'mean kids' named Cain spoke as he glared at the drawing, standing behind Trace.
Trace had no idea what that word meant, but he took it in a bad way since he said it in such a mean tone.
"I-I don't know what that means." Trace spoke softly as he lowered his head.
"It means you love boys." Another boy spoke that stood beside Cain.
"Yeah, and your girly." Cain spat as he dug his hands in his baggy jean pockets.
Trace glanced up at the two boys as he stuttered "B-but my mom said they're just genders."
"Well your mom's stupid." Cain shoved Trace on his back with his foot, pushing him into the sand, on top of the heart he took his time to make. The boy next to Cain laughed. And that caught everyone's attention. Some kids laughed, some just stared and a few ran to go tell on them.
"And what's up with your pee colored hair? It looks like a dirty sponge." Cain cringed as he examined Trace's hair color.
Trace felt himself crying as he sniffled, his head still on the sand, his hands hurting from having the sand dig into his skin.
"Spongeboy!" Cains friend pointed down at Trace while proudly grinning. More kids started laughing at Trace, making him cry even more.
Soon enough the teacher came running so they could scold the two kids and give them detention. she helped Trace up and brought him to the nurses room so she could put bandages on the parts he got hurt. After she put the Band-Aids on, she asked him what they said.
"They said I'm gay," Trace wiped his eyes with his dirty arm "Why is gay a bad thing?"
"It isn't honey," The teacher gave him a pity smile "Some kids just don't understand that it's a normal thing."
"And they called me spongeboy" Trace stared up at the teacher with his light blue orbs trembling "They said my hair looks ugly."
"It isn't ugly," The teacher shook her head.
Trace couldn't hold back his tears any longer as he burst into crying again.
"It's okay sweetie." The teacher hugged him closer as she softly pat his back.
She kept treating him like a little girl. All the teachers did. And they never denied it when kids called him gay, they only defended him. Even his mother talked to him about genders and how love works.
No one understood.end of flashback
Your POV
"Trace, you okay?" I softly put a hand onto his shoulder as I stare at him with concern.
He's been staring at the ground for a while now, deep in his own thoughts.
"Huh?" He quickly moved his head up as he looked at me.
"You spaced out for a while. You okay?" I examine his face with worry.
"Oh. Yeah. Sorry, y/n" he spoke softly as he nodded, still seeming a bit out of it.
"Okay," I slightly smile "We're almost at the store."
"Yeah." Trace stared ahead as he continued to frown.I shouldn't have brought up the conversation. Now he's sad.
// If you were wondering, Trace is pansexual, he likes all genders.
Since y/n is gender neutral. AKA either a boy or girl, depending on which you are.
I hope you don't mind him being pan.
Anyways, thanks for reading! Don't forget to leave a like and comment your feedback ❤Also, I wrote this at 3AM so I'm sorry about the misspellings and poor writing style
