Being Popular Is Hard

Chapter 14

I ran out of my room to find the window broken on the first floor and a masked face holding a knife. 

He ran to all the rooms and literally ransacked through our rooms. He came back with a bunch of bags in his hand. We thought he would leave but he didn't. He was staring at me and then he smirked. Something about this made me think I'm his prey. He ran towards me and grabbed me. I don't know but I was wishing for Kai to come. Out of all the people in the world why the hell was I wishing for that idiot? He might've been good to me for some time but doesn't mean he is not an idiot.

Talk about the devil and the devil is here. As soon as he was about to lick me Kai opened the door with a pack of band-aids in his hand. He saw the man and me. I don't know what he was thinking to take down an adult.

"Don't touch her. She's mine," screamed Kai with a flying punch to the masked face and pulled me towards me. 

"You bastard." said the man and he hit Kai so hard he fell so bad. But it's Kai. What do you expect? He kicked him and punched him once or twice. I thought Kai got him but the man kicked twice so bad he fell towards the wall and hit his head. He fell and couldn't get up. Like I said I'm athletic so punched him in the face kicked him in the stomach which made him go all fuzzy. I reached up to Kai but before that, the man took me by the wrist and smirked again.

I thought I was done for. But thank goodness Sophie had called the police and they came in at the right time. It turned that he heard about our entire family was in distress and we earned a lot of money. Taking advantage of the fact that there were only two girls in the house he barged in the planning of robbing us and kidnapping and molesting me. It seems he had his eyes on me since we moved in. Such a psychopath.

Kai was all hurt and so he was admitted to the hospital. It didn't click me back during the fight that he said "She's mine." But now that I think about it, it sounds like I'm his girlfriend or something. To ask him about it and see how he is doing I paid a visit to him in the hospital.

I knocked on his door and came in. 

"Hey, Kai. I bought some flowers and sweets. How are you doing?"

"I think I'm kinda fine. Hopefully, I'll heal soon enough."

"Good. Anyways thanks for trying to save me."

"It's fine. No biggy"

"No biggy? Excuse me you literally could have been seriously injured going after a criminal."

"That was just the training to rescue Jenny."

"Yeah. Now I feel super bad about hurting you and Jenny."

"It's not your fault. Jenny asked for help super late and the masked man just caught his eye for you. Being beautiful is not your fault."

"I guess so. Anyways, Kai, can I ask you a question?"

"Yeah.."

"Well... the other day when you were saving me you mentioned something about me being yours and stuff. Any explanation?"

"Explanation..... uh..... good ears you got right there... well...."
