Being Popular Is Hard

Chapter 10

"What? Are you serious?"

"Of course, if you hate this place so much then why live here when you have the option to leave?"

"You know people don't just like you because you are beautiful but because you have a wonderful personality. Jenny would never think of you as a bad friend because I'm sure you've been with her in her hardest time."

Kai's words made me blush. Every time a person I know praises me I blush super hard. And definitely, Kai noticed that and looked away. 

"So what do we do know, Katie?"

"What do we do know. It was your idea in the first place so deal with it. I just agreed with it. Don't push it on me."

"Don't push it on you? I just said it because I was angry. I didn't have anything planned as such."

"If nothing's planned then why bring it up."

"You are the one making this an argument. Not me."

"Look you just push your responsibilities to someone else. How rude?"

"Well, look who is talking Miss 'Want to get physical'."

"I do not get physical at all. Only in times of need."

"Well, in times need by when I took your choco-" he was cut short by a phone call. 

It was clearly marked as Sophie. She must've called to know what happened. Instead of talking himself he passed the phone to me and left the room. I took the phone and started talking.

"Hi"

"How did it happen? Who did it? Why did someone do it to such a little thing? Why?!"

"I know how it feels. I swear the person who did it should die. I will kill him with my own hands."

"Katie"

"Yeah"

"Will everything be alright?"

I wasn't sure about how to answer that question. I wasn't sure myself. How could I answer her if I stuck in the same situation?

"Hopefully everything will be alright. Let's just pray for the best."

"Katie I'll come visit you. I'm sure my parents will understand the situation."

"Sophie don't take too much stress and don't cross your limits. Okay?"

"Yeah, I'll take good care of myself. Bye."

"Bye."

I ended the call wanting cry my heart out. I took the knife in my pocket and di it again. I cut my wrist two times, three times, four times, six times and maybe I would do more than fourteen times and killed myself if Kai didn't come in. I hid my hand with my jacket as fast as I could. Thank god he didn't notice the knife on the table.I slowly slid it under the bed to hide it.

"You guys are done talking already?"

"Yeah. She was pretty sad."

"Look who's talking? You both really are super similar."

"Even Jenny was just like us. But now she is not here."

Thinking about it made me cry and burst into to tears. Kai came to and sat beside me.

"You are stupid." said Kai that made me raise my head and wipe my tears, "You don't laugh at the same joke again and again then why to cry over the same thing again and again. Why don't you just scream it all out?"

Scream. Huh, that must be a good idea. Okay here goes nothing.

"Why? Why do you do this to me?! You keep hurting me over and over again. Please let me live a perfect life in harmony. Please. I beg of you. Please." I couldn't go one as I burst into tears.

"You don't know what life is. Life is never perfect. Neither can you make it perfect you can only make it right."
