Chapter 16

Demi

I woke up again and Nick's face was all I could see... he's expression was a concerned one but he wasn't looking at me.. he was looking to the other side of the room.. to the other bed.. suddenly a tear fell down his face.. why was he crying?

I managed to move my head and saw a police officer with Marissa and Miley

- .. so I brought her here so she could be safe and then remembered that for safety reasons, I left my keys on the entrance.. so I went to pick 'em up and then came back and Dee was nowhere to be found

The police officer nodded and then took some notes in the small notebook he had

- I then called Marissa, and she came panicking and we both looked for her.. and that's when Miley came rushing to us.. - he said looking down

- And what proceeded? - The policeman asked turning his face towards Miley and Marissa

- I saw Jim, the bartender, taking her since I followed Nick and Demi here

- And why did you follow them? - he asked

- I don't know.. I think I just wanted to see where they were going..

"Bullshit" I thought to myself.. she just wanted to spy on Nick just like all of those other girls..

- And I saw Jim taking her upstairs so I followed them quietly.. I memorized the room where they were entering and then ran back to call Nick..

Nick nodded and continued - When Miley told us Jim took her, Marissa froze but I didn't thought twice.. I ran like I've never ran before.. I tried to turn the doorknob slightly and it was open so I barged in..

- Marissa, why did you froze? - The police officer interrupted

- Because I was in love with that man.. and I didn't believe Miley's words.. I broke down crying while Nick and Miley ran away

The police officer nodded - And you were always at the party, before all of this happened

Marissa's face contorted - Of course.. Actually.. I spent the entire time with Demi..

- Lady, I'm just doing my work, please don't get offended.. Everyone's as suspect.. Even Demetria..

- Demi? That doesn't make any sense - Miley shook his head

- She could've staged all of this.. we don't know.. - he stated - Young man, what happened when you barged in?

Nick took a deep breath making my bed and my body move up and down, since he was sitting on my bed

I felt something caress my hand.. looking down I see his thumb softly rubbing against the back of my head

- I saw Jim looking at me.. he had no shirt and was taking off his pants.. he looked like he was panicking and then I looked to this bed and Demi was laying naked in it.. - Nick answered letting some tears fall

- And what did you do? - the policeman asked

- Nick threw himself at him.. what did you think he did? - Miley answered.. - he puched him so hard in the face that I though Jim was going to pass out from that hit.. just one punch and he was bleeding - Miley continued - and then Jim threw punches at him too but Nick managed to get on top of him and punch him repeatedly in the face.. I had to intervene.. since he was so furious, he was throwing punches even when the guy was passed out cold..

Nick took in a deep breath and I finally managed to sit up

- Demi? - Marissa said but all I could do was hug Nick and repeatedly thank him.. this mand saved my life.. this scared little boy protected me from something awful happening.. I was forever grateful to this boy..

- Thank you so much Nicholas - I cried as he softly caressed my back with his hands and hugged me back

After a while, the officer spoke up telling me he had to interview me too. I politely asked to have Nick in the room and he accepted

The two girls left and the policeman started asking me various different question.. what did I drink, how much, have I been watching my drink, what was my relationship with each person, everything..

- What's your relationship with Miley Cyrus?

- Not really that close but we've known each other for a long long time

- And you're dating this young boy is that correct?

I nodded without hesitation.. I just wanted all of this to be over.. I was done with this.. I wanted to go back home..

A few days passed by and my mom arrived at the Camp.. I was so relieved.. I want to see her.. I was scared and completely helpless..

- Tomorrow we'll go back home.. Miley, Selena and Marissa already agreed to it so make sure you pack everything up tonight..

I nodded and heard bushes moving behind me.. turning around I see someone far away walk out.. it was him.. for sure.. he was going to the place he took me on one the night of the kareoke

I walked away from the group of people and followed him through the bushes.. once inthe open part, I see him throwing rocks to the water.. the sea waves were crashing softly and reaching his feet

- Nick.. - I spoke up making him stop, not turning around

- Thank you so much for everything.. I am eternally gratefull.. - I said

He nodded and took a deep breath - I'd do it again if I had to..

I nodded and crossed my arms as a cold breeze passed by us

- I'll miss you.. - I finally said - terribly

He chuckled and turned around showing me his red face full of tears - I won't - he joked

I shook my head smiling and took some steps towards him

He hugged me and I started sobbing feeling like it was the last time I would be in his arms for a long time

- I can't let you go.. I need to be with you.. I need to be where you are.. - he whispered in my ear

- We'll keep in touch.. you just can't touch other girls - I joked making him laugh

- I don't want other girls.. I just want you.. and I want you safe..

I lokked up and smiled as he leaned down and kissed my lips.. I didn't want to go.. I wanted him to go with me.. I want him to be by my side.. I want his stupid jokes and our stupid fights.. I want to be with him

- I'll be waiting for you.. even if I have to wait forever - he said caressing my cheek

I nodded and kissed him again..
