Alice scoffed as she shook her head seeing Tom pull up to the house that they had been to.

"What are we doing here?"

"The agent said we could have one last tour of the place. She gave me the keys."

"I thought we agreed we weren't going to." Alice chuckled.

"I know but I thought maybe one last look would be nice."

"Fine." She playfully rolled her eyes, unbuckling her seat belt.

Alice took Daniel into her arms as they all walked up towards the home. Tom opened the door and Alice stood in the living area as Tom walked around with his arms up in the air, spinning around one time.

"Why do you have that look on your face?" Tom asked.

"What face?"

"That face you do when you don't trust me." He chuckled.

"We said we couldn't, Tom. You know that. The price the owner had was too much." Alice explained.

"But you loved it."

"Yeah, but it's not ours. Not now."

"It is ours."

"Tom, please, we don't own this house. Can we go home now? This one's getting fussy."

"We do." Tom grinned.

Alice furrowed her brow and opened her mouth to protest before processing what Tom had said.

"We do... what?"
"We do... own it."
"What are you talking about?" Alice chuckled nervously.

"A few days ago, I talked it out with our agent who talked to the owner and we made up a deal and... we got it. It's our home." Tom explained.

Alice placed Daniel down on the floor as she paced towards Tom.

"You... I don't... you bought this?"

"I knew how much you loved it when we saw it for the first time. This is meant to be our home. She didn't give me the keys for one last look. I have the keys because we own it. This is our home." Tom told her, smiling brightly.

He took her hands in his and caressed them tenderly.

"Just like I said to you all those years ago... our kids have got a swing set that we can push them on and a big backyard where they can run around. They'll have their own bedrooms so that we can tuck them in and read to them at night. I meant it when I said it to you then and I mean it now."

"But that was all heat of the moment talk."
"Nothing I ever tell you is heat of the moment talk," Tom protested. "When it comes to us, and our family, I always mean what I say."
Alice couldn't help the smile forming on her face as she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him into a tight embrace. Tom cradled her head to his chest and kissed her temple, running his hand up and down her back. Alice pulled back and took Tom's face in her hands, giggling as she lightly scratched at his beard.

"You really bought this house?"
"I did. It's all ours and we can start to move in." Tom beamed.

"You're the most amazing person I've ever met, do you know that?"

"I had a hunch." Tom smirked.

Alice laughed as she pulled Tom into a kiss. When they pulled back, Tom laid his hand on her belly and placed a kiss to her cheek.

"This is our home." He whispered.

"This is our home." She whispered back.

The two were taken from their exchange hearing Daniel cooing as he waddled over towards them, pressing his hands into Tom's legs. Tom bent down and groaned softly, picking the boy up into his arms. He held him against his hip and rustled his curls, making Daniel laugh.
