Upon stepping back into the house, Alice broke down into tears. Tom was quick to lock the door before taking Alice into his arms. He softly swayed her in his arms as he pressed a kiss to the top of her head.

"Thank you, Tom." Alice sobbed into his shoulder.

Tom grinned as he tightened his grip around Alice slightly.

"No need to thank me, Alice." Tom whispered.

Alice pulled back from the embrace and they both went to check on Daniel and Emma as they slept. Afterward, they went to their bedroom, changed and got into their bed. Alice immediately curled herself around Tom as soon as he got under the covers.

"He doesn't hate me." Alice whispered.

"Why would you ever think he would have?" Tom furrowed his brow.

"Because of me leaving him there with our parents knowing just what they were capable of."
"That's all in the past now. You heard him. He could never hate you."

"I know but... it felt really good to hear him say that." Alice whimpered.

"I'm glad. And he's a really interesting guy." Tom chuckled.

"Yeah, he's the best."

"Wait. I thought I was the best?"

"Well, you were... but now the best is back in my life."

"Oh, okay." Tom playfully rolled his eyes.

The two laughed as they kissed sweetly. Alice took his chin in her grasp and smiled brightly.

"You know you'll always be the best." She spoke softly.

"I know, Ace."

Alice giggled as Tom pinched her side. He then ran his hand up underneath her shirt to caress her small bump.

"When do we tell everyone the news?" Tom asked.

"Well, we can't tell the kids because they'll surely blurt it out at the first person they see." Alice chuckled.

"Let's wait a bit. This can be just between us for a little while."

She placed her hand over Tom's on her belly and the two shared a tender kiss.

"I like that."

"Another girl." Tom grinned.

"You're going to be outnumbered, you know."

"I'm not complaining." Tom chuckled.

"Here's hoping for an easy pregnancy and a healthy baby girl."

The two kissed once more before drifting off to sleep. Throughout the rest of the week, Alice was chatting with George as she got their plans ready for the weekend. When Saturday rolled around, Alice and Tom got ready for the show, waiting for George to arrive. Diana was with the kids into the living room as she read them a book. Tom and Alice appeared in the room and Diana shot them a smile as she turned to face them.

"You both look amazing." Diana commented.

"Thanks, mum," Tom replied. "We'll be out late but I'll text you letting you know when we're coming back."

"Thank you. Now, go have fun tonight. Lord knows you've both needed a night out away from these little rascals."

Diana laughed as Daniel gave her a look as Emma climbed onto the couch to get close to her.

As Alice and Tom left the house, they saw George standing in the driveway next to his car.

"Damn, Alice, you look good! Never knew you could clean up so nicely."
