Jamie was sitting on the steps outside of her apartment waiting for everyone to arrive. Her leg shook on the pavement as she watched other people from the area walk past her. After a moment, she let out a sigh of relief seeing George's car pull up to the sidewalk before getting out to greet Jamie. The two embraced and Jamie pulled back first, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Should we go up?" George asked.

"Not yet. I told my mom that I was just going out for a bit," Jamie explained. "I knew if I told her about what we were going to talk to her about, she'd leave and head up to Alice's place herself. I can't do that Alice. So, we're waiting for Pierre and Cory and then we can go back upstairs."
"Isn't that what we're hoping for? That she's able to talk to Alice?"

"Yes, but not to ambush her. Plus, my mom just told Alice that she needs to rest and not work over the summer so things are little... you know... between them."

"I'm sure everything will work out in the end."

Shortly after, the two saw Pierre and Cory turn the corner and make their way towards them.

"Are we all ready for this?" Pierre inquired.

Upon agreeing, the four of them walked back into the apartment building. As Esther was cleaning up the living room, she furrowed her brow hearing the key in the lock. She stood up straight and her eyes widened seeing Jamie walk in with George, Pierre and Cory.

"Jamie? I thought you were going out," Esther chuckled. "Why are they here?"

"Mom, we have to talk to you about something." Jamie replied.

"Do I need to be sitting?"
"Only if you prefer to."
"I think sitting is probably best." Esther retorted.

Everyone gathered in the living room and Jamie took a seat next to Esther as the others sat across from them. There was an awkward silence that filled the room as everyone looked at one another, trying to see who would speak up first.

"I don't know why you guys are looking at me," Esther spoke. "I'm not the one that has stuff to say right now."
"The reason we're all here is so you don't just go and leave once we say what we have to say." Cory replied.

"Alright. Say it." Esther scoffed.

"We're very worried about Alice." Jamie announced.

Everyone in the room drew their attention towards Esther, waiting to see what her reaction would be. Esther simply sat back on the couch and crossed her arms over her chest, biting the inside of her cheek.

"So, you're actually here for us to plan a sort of intervention with her and all of us." Esther told them.

"Sort of." Pierre answered.

"I will admit... I am very worried. I've been worried since they came here with you, George."

"You have?" He questioned her.

"Yes," She answered. "I remember before you all left, I pulled her aside, took her in my arms and told her that if she needed to talk to me about anything, she knew she could come to me. But it seems she took that as talk to everyone else but me."

"No offense, mom, but after everything with Tom at the theater, I think she might have been afraid of what you might do if she told you." Jamie explained.

"She should be! I told him that if he ever hurt her, I would kill him." Esther interjected.

"Yes, but, I don't think you understand what's really going on with them." Cory protested.
