Chapter 5: New Beginnings
As I was walking to school that next morning I heard my phone going off in my Hello Kitty purse. I stopped walking, and I dug through my purse for it. "Ugh why do I have so much junk in here" I grumbled as I dug through my purse trying to find my phone. "There you are!" I exclaimed as I pulled it out from underneath the book I had been reading. I looked at it, and saw I had one missed call from Kevin. A small smile crossed my face. I typed his number in, and I called him back. His phone rang and rang as I walked. Finally he picked up. "Hello?" Came the sound of his q uiet velvet voice from the other end of the phone. "Hi. Sorry I didn't answer I had to dig through all my junk to get to my phone" I said smiling. "It's alright baby" he said smoothly. I cringed a little at the word. I was so used to Eric calling me baby. I knew it would take a while for me to get used to someone else calling me that. "So how's your morning been?" I asked smiling. "It's a lot better now that I'm talking to you Dragostea mea" he said in his fluid Romanian voice. "Dra.....gost....what?" I said confused. He laughed. " Dragostea mea...it means my love in Romanian" he said still laughing a little. He had never spoken to me in Romanian before. To tell you the truth I didn't even know Kevin was Romanian till our freshman year in highschool. "Oh. Dragostea mea" I said practically butchering the word. "It's a confusing language, maybe later you can come by and I can teach you some". I smiled a little. A slight blush crept across my cheeks. "Maybe" I said smiling. "I'll be at school soon babe.... I've gotta get Alex up so I'll talk to you later" he said lovingly. I smiled a little. "Alright" I said quietly. "I love you" he said again in the same loving tone. I took in a deep breath. "I.....I love you too" I said with a small smile.
When I got to school I saw Ushina, and Zoom together. I walked up to them. "You look really nice today" zoom said smiling. "Thanks" I said smiling back. "Lets see your wearing a skirt, your hair's up, you have your make up done up all nice...did something happen that I think happened?" Ushina asked smiling. I nodded and smiled. Ushina hugged me tightly. "That's great! I'm so happy for you!" She exclaimed smiling. I smiled. "You were right Ushina....I need to move on....I gave it a lot of thought, and I came to the conclusion that Eric will always be with me...no matter what" I said smiling. Zoom smiled. "He really likes you Jade" Zoom said smiling. "I know" I said smiling back. "Oooooo here he comes now!" Ushina exclaimed happily. I turned around and saw Kevin coming through the doors of the school. He had his gorgeous midnight black hair slicked back, and he had on a tight fitting black tank top. My face was hot. I just knew I was as red as a tomato. I saw a small smile tugging at his lips as he walked up to me. I smiled a little. "There's my girl" he said as he pulled me close. I blushed. He leaned his head in towards me, and he kissed me. "Awwwwww!" Ushina exclaimed. I smiled a little. Kevin chuckled a little. "You really are happy about this aren't you" Kevin said laughing a little. "Yes! You two are so cute!" She said all happy, and bubbly. "Thanks Ushina" I said smiling. She smiled big.
As Kevin, and I were doing our math work together I felt Kevin place his big hand on my knee. I blushed, and looked at him. He was staring at me intently. "What?" I said smiling a little. He smiled: "I'm sorry, I was just mesmerized by your beauty" he said lovingly in his Romanian accent. I blushed. Eric used to tell me all the time that I was beautiful, but I never believed it. I looked down at our paper. "I'm not pretty..." I said quietly. He culled my face in his big hands. "Your right....your not pretty....your gorgeous baby girl" he whispered as he stared into my eyes.
I blushed. "R-really?" I whispered as his face got closer to mine. "Yes" he breathed as his lips were just inches from mine. "PDA!" his twin brother Alexander yelled. I jumped. Kevin groaned. "Dude really" Kevin said scowling. Alex laughed. "Sorry bro, but I couldn't resist" Alex said laughing. I smiled a little. Alex was like my brother. I loved him deeply. "Hi Alex" I said smiling. He hugged me. "Hey sis" he said smiling. Alexander had always considered me his sister. We were really close. "Alex your always the class clown" I said smiling. He smiled and kissed my forehead. "You've got that right sis" he said laughing. I smiled. "Well I'll let you two get back to your little worksheet" he said making quotation marks with his fingers. I smiled and blushed. Kevin shook his head smiling. "Only Alex could ruin a perfect moment like that" he said smiling. I reached up, and gave him a quick kiss. I watched as his face turned beat red. "Uhhhhhhhh" was all he could get out. I giggled at the fact that I had left him speechless. A small smile came across his lips. He picked up my hand in his big hands. "Te iubesc cu toata inima" he whispered as he delicately kissed my hand. I blushed. I had no idea what it meant but it sounded romantic indeed. I turned my head to the side, my white bangs fell in front of my eyes. Kevin touched my face. "I can't resist......I.....I can't" he whispered as he touched my face. I blushed. "Then let's go somewhere where we can be alone" I whispered as I pressed my hands against his chest. I didn't know what was going on with me. I felt so...so different. I felt a rush of adrenalin shot through my veins as Kevin, and I snuck out of the classroom. Eric, and I had never done anything like this before. This was new. A new beginning for me. Sneaking around like this. Running through the abandoned stairwells. Yes, this was definately new.
