Pain.
Excruciating pain.
Where am I? He wondered. Slowly he opened his eyes. The light creeped in and burning his eyes causing him to squeeze them shut again.
Finally he was able to open his eyes but he still wasn't any better off. He was surrounded by what probably was some type of building. There was fire and smoke around him but it hadn't reached him. Yet.
He then looked down at himself and let out a gasp of shock. What looked like a piece of a wall of the building had his lower body pinned to the ground. He let out a pained whimper and tried to lift his arms but they were as good as useless next to his body.
What happened? He wondered desperately trying to remember anything that happened.
Nothing.
Who am I? He suddenly thought but once again his memory failed him. He all of a sudden felt a deep sense of sadness overcome him as he laid there amongst the wreckage. His blood seeping into the weird outfit that he was currently wearing.
It was skin tight but the suit was padded and still felt comfortable. The main body was a light almost grey blue and the legs, underneath the arm and a lightning bolt themed stripe that crossed both shoulders and ended at the back was a deep crimson red. He also knew that he was wearing some type of goggles on top of his head.
He felt his skin get hotter and he looked over noticing that the fire was closing in on him. Currently the air was also getting harder to breathe the smokes from the flames engulfing what little fresh air that remained.
I felt an overwhelming terror take over his movements as he desperately tried to escape the wall that denied his escape. "Help!" He tried to scream but his voice never reached his ears. He tried again forcing his voice to go louder but still nothing reached his ears. Once again he returned his attention to the wall ignoring the pain it caused and pushed upward with his body his body straining with the effort.
He heard a faint shift in the walls position and much to his relief he managed to remove his pinned arm. It hurt but he could tell it wasn't broken and he quickly brought it forward to help the other arm lift. His arms screamed in protest and he was forced to let go when the pain had reached unbearable. He could feel his skin start to blister in the rising heat adding to his already hopeless situation.
Please I don't want to die, at least not like this... He begged hoping that someone could pick up on his distress signal. He once again gave up to the panic and desperately tried to lift the wall but he couldn't lift it far enough to free himself. He felt something wet stream down his face as he let out a sob of despair.
He finally stopped struggling as he gave in to his crying fit his chest heaving with every sob. He laid his body down the flame now surrounding him and he knew that it was over.
With that realization he felt the exhaustion that he was fighting to ignore. His eyes started to droop and he seemed to detach from the world. He couldn't feel his chest heave as his body desperately tried to supply him with oxygen. He couldn't feel the pain of his lower body as the blood seeped through unseen wounds.
He then closed his eyes completely giving in to the darkness that threatened to claim him.
